Great quality. Strong and durable

First, the spoons are sturdy, have no flavor or odor and are exceptionally smooth. We eat hard ice cream with them, no problem. As an added bonus, these are made in the USA! For those that are saying you need to take these to a special facility to have these breakdown vs. your local landfill, I want to make sure you see the comment from the Q & A section on this page from the mfg. I was very satisfied with their response. "Based on ASTM D6400 Standards, our certified compostable utensils will break down into nutrient-rich compost in 2 - 4 months provided the process is perform in a composting facility (where it was tested and verified). If the compostable silverware happens to find its way to the landfill, it would still be better option from a biodegradability standpoint to plastic silverware. Since the landfill conditions will vary and where certified compostable products usually haven’t been tested, we can’t estimate how long it would take to compost. Conventional plastic could take ~400 hundred years to finally dissolve leaving behind micro-plastic, while all natural 100% compostable utensils would expect to start to break down in months without leaving behind toxins. In addition, certified 100% compostable products takes 65% less energy to make and produces 68% fewer greenhouse gases than conventional plastics. Thus, it leaves a smaller carbon footprint than plastics during production. It also uses all-natural plant resources which is a better sustainable and renewable option when compared to trees or plastic. In essence, we are starting with a big environmental win before we even consider disposal!"

Perfect spoons for when you don't want dishes!

I love love love these spoons, and completely agree with all the positive reviews on this product. (There was one 1-star review I didn't understand, because EVERYTHING leaves a carbon foot-print, whether it's a metal spoon, plastic spoon, or a compostable spoon. Sometimes metal spoons just aren't practical for the occasion, and if I have to choose between plastic or compostable, compostable wins.) Anyway, more about the spoons. It's been soup weather this past week, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to put these spoons to the test. The spoons sat in a chowder soup for 45 minutes one night, were put in the dishwasher and sat in a broth-based soup the second night. To my surprise, they didn't wilt at all! No splinters in my mouth, AND they still look brand-new, so I know I'm not only purchasing a compostable product, but one that is high-quality and will be used again and again.

I bought the forks and spoons for dessert at my son and daughter-in-law's outdoor wedding. They looked good, were sturdy and love the fact that they are biodegradable. Bonus - the tray that slides out of the box that holds the utensils kept them neat and looked great. I would definitely purchase again. Delivery was quick.

Love them! Exactly like regular plastic spoons but these ones are a game changer! Compostable and made from plants! Earth friendly!

I am a happy customer: Spoons do not shrivel (melt or bend) while stirring my coffee, spoons are amazingly sturdy, clean, smooth survice, disposable, even looks nice as a place setting utensil. I am not going back to the standard plastic spoons, OH! The package: it so cool, spoons packed in a drawer.

These spoons arrived in the box that they were put into by the manufacturer. There was no outer delivery box. The box didn't survive shipping and some of my spoons were hanging out of the box when it arrived. The adhesive on parts of the seams had come undone. I didn't count out all 500 spoons, I wouldn't be surprised if some had fallen out at some point. My main concern is how sanitary is it to still use these if someone dropped the box, and had the spoons poor out, and then they proceeded to pick them up off the ground and place them back in the box, and continue to deliver them? It's not like they are individually wrapped. So to say the least I'm disappointed that the box didn't keep together. I have used the spoons, they do just as good as typical plastic spoons. I have successfully eaten ice cream with them, without snapping them in half. I really dislike the woody popsicle stick taste, and these have no flavor to them at all. I do like that they have a deeper scoop than other spoons I've seen, You can get a decent amount of liquid on each scoop, good for times when you're eating soup and the like. I like the spoons, but probably won't order them again. Update! I was contacted by the seller and offered a full refund. The box opening during delivery isn't their fault. I'm adding some stars for good customer service.
