KX-TSC11B Corded Phone with Caller ID, Black

Like most people I wanted an alternative to cordless phones in case of an emergency. The Panasonic KX-TSC11B more than meets my basic needs. My basic requirements for a corded phone are that it: * must be black - this phone is black (except for the cord, which is sort of a dark gray) * must have Caller ID - this phone has Caller ID (the name flashes first, then the number, and if you don't pick up off of this phone it will say "missed call" and include the name/number) * must be DSL wall compatible - this was one of my main requirements as I have a DSL wall filter and if you're like me you have found that very few phones fit nicely on the wall with a DSL filter, but this one includes a wall adapter and fits in very snugly * the ringer must be able to be turned off - this has a side button that will allow me to either turn off the ringer or lower it. Overall this is a fantastic phone. Panasonic makes durable phones that last for years and years. My only complaint is the extension cord. First of all it wasn't black, and second of all it was grossly long (there is no way it would have fit on my wall with my DSL filter) so I had to replace it with a tiny black extension cord. BTW if you're looking for a set of high-quality cordless phones at a great price, check these out . Remember, you are what you buy.

Works exactly as expected. I have had zero problems with the actual phone functions. As previously stated by other customers the phone will fall off the hook if you look at it funny. The mute button does not make any noise when muting or unmuting-which is really nice (especially if you are purchasing this phone to work from home). I don't really use the display, but if I wanted to I would be a bit disappointed as it is very faint even with fresh batteries. Over all, for your average no-frills phone, I am satisfied & I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a regular phone and a very decent price tag.

I think landlines have much better sound than hand-held phones so I continue to use my landline. I always buy Panasonic - they are the best!

Purchased the phone to use with my GN Netcom wireless headset and it works great. This phone does not have a headset jack, I just plug the headset into the handset jack on the phone and use the headset only. Sound quality is good on the phone with the volume level at 1 bar. Its ok at 2 bars. If you turn it up to 3 or 4 bars you get a nasty amount of feedback and extra noise in your ear. I leave the volume all the way down on the phone and just turn it up on the wireless headset. I am not using any batteries in the phone and it functions fine for a phone. The screen display is functioning for call time once you pick up the handset (no caller id). It does not have a speakerphone on it which is fine. Price is a little bit more then some of the cheaper phones but you are getting a quality brand. Because of the noise issue I can only rate 3 stars would expect for a $20+ dollar phone for it to not have the distortion when turned up.

Garage phone, very pleased.

Unfortunately this telephone did not stand the test of time. After 2.5 years of light use, the phone stopped working. It appears that the cause was intolerance of humidity. This phone was used in an un-airconditioned home in a warm climate. When I opened up the battery compartment, I could see inside the plastic enclosure of the phone --- and I saw corrosion. The phone was never dropped or mistreated. About one month before it died, the volume of the ringer decreased significantly, supporting the thought that the phone is intolerant to ordinary humidity.

The most important thing which customer should know about this phone is: It does not have a loudspeaker, which makes it useless as a desk phone.

Buen equipo. Los materiales son de muy buena calidad, timbre con buen volumen. Quizás un pequeño inconveniente con los botones, pues están un poquito duros, pero no lo suficiente para demeritar el aparato.

I was disappointed to find that this phone is basically for the US Market and I needed to purchase an adapter for it to work on the advice of a telephone Engineer who came to fit it. The Build Quality is poor and I was very surprised as I have a lot of Panasonic Equipment at home. Its vey 'plasticy' and I have it on the wall in the kitchen and it takes a devil of a time to get the receiver to remount when you have answered the phone.

Tiene buena recepción, se escucha bien. Solo tener en cuenta que no trae altavoz

Lo compré para reemplazar unos auriculares inalámbricos Motorola que siempre dieron mala calidad de audio. Había tenido otros Panasonic alámbricos que me habían dado excelentes resultado y por eso me decidí por uno de esta marca. El identificador de llamadas funciona sin problemas con mi actual proveedor de servicio.
