Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining: Private and Public Sectors 10th Edition

The book came when promised. It is a great book with the class I am taking. It is a lot of reading, but seems to cover everything that it should.

i use this for school (obviously). it has a lot of information in it that i have actually used in other classes. i have really benefited from using this book versus other books in my school thus far.

The textbook was very informative and helpful in my Labor Relations class. The material was thorough and the chapter discussion questions reinforced the material. I will keep this book as a reference for future Human Resource needs.

Rented 10th edition for graduate class. Shipping and physical quality of the book were great; return at end of semester was easy. However, after I began reading, I'd find places where I felt I was re-reading something. Initially, I just thought I needed to pay more attention (i.e., don't start reading at 11 at night); then I started going back over what I had read. There are places where the authors clearly repeat themselves a page or two later. There are places where the text is poorly constructed -- first-draft-and-never-reviewed kind of stuff. And then there are the places where the figure references in the text do not match the figure numbers on diagrams and charts. I quit reading the book after Chapter 5.The professor was as helpful and engaged as the book, so, for the most part, I could simply read a few little bits and answer the two questions that were required. I received a B in the class because I opted out of the final exam -- otherwise would have gotten an A.

I used this text last semester. It was an ok text. I rented this book as well. One thing I did like is that it covered modern events within the last 20 or 30 years making it very relevant for the younger student who was not born yet. I myself had alot of references because I am that older student. It took current events and broke it down. This was an expensive text even used. I also rented this text book. Thanks again Amazon. See you in the fall 2016.

Rented for class was exactly what I needed.
