Love this globe. Not only is it easy to read and fun to look at the world, it casts a calming glow at night. I always wanted one and I am thrilled with the purchase. I had a hard time choosing between blue and cream for the ocean. I am glad I chose the latter. There is so much to look at! This would make a lovely gift.

I had always wanted a globe, now at 74, I have my first one. It's made in my home state of Illinois, and I proudly say, made in the USA.

The LED light inside is too bright and washes out much of the lamp detail. Looks better off than on.

Would have given five stars but the bulb burnt out in literally less then a minute if they sent a replacement bulb in the box with it then it would have gotten five stars. Other then that I love the elevated mountain ranges and the hot to cold water flows. The print is a little hard to read so if you slightly blind I wouldn't recommend but if not it's worth the money spent.

This is a twelve -inch political boundary globe with an "antiqued" finish set to the traditional axial tilt. There is some embossed relief to enhance the representation of topographic features. It is very good for the curious student and excellent for this retired world traveler. A fine gift for the young or the chairbound not-so-young as well.

Very poor Workmanship; the globe is very crooked & the unevenness shows up in gap width differences when the light is on. The gap is much wider on one side of the globe, than the other.How this manufacturer got a high rating is beyond me!

A must have globe of the world illustrating the ocean currents as well as the geographical and political divisions of the earth's terrains. (Sadly, small island clusters are not depicted). A marvelous addition to any home or school room.
