It’s a cutting board. It has 2 sides. I’ve actually used them “serving” side for cheese, pate and crackers. No issues. Cleans well, no leftover odours.

Looks quite usable as described. Only wish it were a little larger.

Product is well constructed and useable right away. I would recommend a light coat of mineral oil to treat and preserve the board. The compartments are a good size and come in handy to use for cheese slices if using a variety or add other items on the side such as crackers. This can be used to cut vegetables or meats as well so it is not limited to your use. If you decide have two boards you do not have to be concerned with cross contamination as the board is at a reasonable price. In my case this was a supplemental board that I use for other than meat and poultry cuts.
