A great value for some amazing tableware
I have waited a few months to write this review so I could have a chance to put these through their paces. Let me preface by saying that I'm not a big outdoors person and I have not taken these camping so my use for these was fully domestic. I wanted a solid set of near unbreakable metal plates and bowls that would last a long time with proper care. I get the feeling that these will do that and more. I've been a long time fan of Snow Peak products having used their titanium sporks in about every meal kit I have made for the past 15+ years. Those have been indestructible and owning tableware from such a trusted brand seemed like a good idea. Spoiler alert, it was. With this set you get 4 of 4 types of items, 3 sets of different sizes of bowls and 1 set of plates. Heat and cold will transfer very easily through these and at first I thought I had made a mistake as I eat a lot of soups and stews and was concerned about them being too hot to properly handle. Well then I realized that I could just use the plates as a saucer for the bowls and that problem went right away. The plates perfectly compliment hot items in the bowls because since heat dissipates so quickly through the metal, the outer edges of the plates are easy to handle while the hot bowl of food sits perfectly balanced in the middle. The smallest bowls are very deep and despite appearing too small they are perfectly sized to hold a 16 ounce can of soup. Anything larger and you'll want to size up to one of the larger bowls. Having multiple sizes is very convenient and I'm finding myself using my older bowls and plates less and less often. One thing I have noticed that is worth mentioning is when you wash these, water does tend to dry in spots on them. I always hand wash my dishes and will let them air dry for the most part. But with these I have started hand drying them after I'm done washing and put them away so they won't get spots from water drying. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning if you like things always looking their best. Overall while pricey I cannot recommend these enough. I think these plates and bowls will prove to be just as indestructible as other snow peak products I have enjoyed over the years.

Wow, expensive but amazing.
Look, you don't buy Snow Peak for the cost. You buy it for the build quality and sturdiness. I own a number of titanium items but wanted a car-camping set where weight wasn't a problem but kids bashing things around might be. This set is perfect -- so perfect I added another. Keep in mind the sizes of things, I think in some of the photos these seem bigger than they are. The pieces are perfectly functional for camping dishes but go measure things out before ordering so you are familiar with the size of the package and the pieces inside.

These things are awesome
This is my everyday use set. It covers everything I need to eat meals. Super light and hardy for camping. Very easy to clean as well. Only downside is they are metal so do not put in microwave.

Nice minimalist household dishware
Awesome set of dishware that will hopefully last a lifetime. I have noticed that occasionally i will get a few specks of rust that start to pop up, but that is fixed very easily as you given them a quick hand was with some soap and a sponge.

Can't beat Snow Peak
Very well packed, individual plastic wrapping to protect the plates and bowls; storage bag included and everything stack perfectly and can still throw in some forks and folding chopstick (I packed 6 pieces of the titanium sporks and spoons + 2 folding chopstick from Snow Peak) The steel is very lightweight, just an oz heavier than the Titanium version, so unless you are one of the extreme backpacker need shaving weight, this will work just fine One drawback I saw is it is a fingerprint magnet, so... keep washing it and your hands And most importantly, Made in Japan :)

Very cheaply made.
This product is easily the most overpriced item I have ever purchased. The design and size of the bowls and plates is OK, but the quality is terrible. You can hold the plate in your hand and twist it easily with little effort and the stainless is quite thin. The edges are rolled over creating a trap for water and corrosion, while this is typical of cheap dinnerware, I would not expect it on a $160 product. The COTOM 24 piece stainless dinnerware set is actually of higher quality, is thicker, included 4 insulated stainless cups and was only $54. For a company with such a reputation for quality, I found this product to be lacking in every way.

Great!
These are the nicest stainless steel camp dishes I have ever used. We like them so much we actually use them at home too. Not sure why people complain about them being too thin. Its a food plate, not an armor plate. Don't abuse them and they will be fine. My kids haven't damaged them yet, so that says something.
