Good price. A definite necessity!!!!
The price was reasonable and registering the device was fairly simple and confirmation was quickly returned. According to the instructions it seems to be straight forward how to activate it. I am pleased with this purchase and hope to never have to use it.

Long battery life!
This EPIRB has a 10 year battery life! Hopefully I won't have to use it but if I do within the next 10 years I don't have to worry about my batteries running out of charge.

Lightweight and compact
Lightweight and compact. So can be carried off-board should it be necessary... Setup works fine! Didn’t use it and hope to never need to...

Lousy hardware and instructions for test
I followed the instructions for the test but still ended up with the police at my doorstep for an inadvertent activation of the EPRIB. The hardware is zinc at best and stripped out immediately when trying to mount it to the boat. I had to use go through considerable time and trouble to take out the screws and use real 316SS hardware to mount the bracket. Does Ocean Signal know we are mounting the EPIRB to a boat that could go through rough seas ad bouncing around? The crap hardware they provided would not secure the bracket to any vessel that moves. The good news is due to the police at my doorstep the EPRIB works.
