We purchased two other Hanayama puzzles, both were level 4. This one is a lot tricker. I'd say it should be level 5 or 6 instead of 4 but it's so fun to try and solve. We're still working on this one after a few days. I absolutely recommend these puzzles. They're a great value and a great quality item.

Good puzzle. Got me hooked on Hanayama. I really respect what they’re doing, taking genius puzzles mainstream and delivering fantastic value at a price the 99% can afford.Lots of fun solving this one. It’s deceptive. Kudos to the artist.Message to snobs: Craftsmanship is excellent for the price, but keep in mind it’s a chromed zinc casting of an artist original. Mine has minor imperfections on the quarters that allow me to quickly orient the pieces. Compared to the typical trash peddled these days, it’s five stars. Compared to artisan work, it’s a mass-produced reproduction.Great gift for engineers.

It's a tricky puzzle, I leave it in our waiting room for customers to play with. Some have commented it's helped them relax

This is the second one I've ordered. I've used the first so much that the pieces spin too easily. Making it more than frustrating. Of course, the look and feel are as all Hanayama puzzle are, great. Hopefully this one will be a little better to fiddle with. I have to say, of the 28 Hanayama puzzles I own. This is most difficult one for me.

I won't tell how long I've been working towards the solution but just that it hasn't been solved yet... We have these laying around the house for company and whatnot. This particular puzzle has got me stumped so far - exactly why we have them, almost have every puzzle in our collection.These are a lot of fun, this is a level 4 puzzle out of 6 levels total. Start at level 1 and earn your way to level 6. Great for the kids - company, a fun time for all. Makes for great drinking games also...lol

I ought to give it negative 5 stars, because it’s infuriating. But that is the whole point. For the holidays, I got a pile of these. They were enjoyed by both sides of the family for many hours. Most of them remain unsolved. I don’t agree with the level markings, but this one is tantalizing and infuriating in an awesome way. The toys do seem to work well for groups and you should have enough different ones so you can trade off and take turns. When one family member gets one open, it changes how everyone approaches it. Really cool super in small groups.

won’t recommend as first puzzle; it’s more trial and error than actual logic, because you can’t see the inner pieces you have to brute force combinations, and even if you have the correct config it requires some work to actual take it apart, it won’t just open up easily
