We have a pair of high-end Ethan Allen upholstered chairs in the front living room. On a hot summer day during a pool party one of them was sat on by someone in a very wet bathing suit and the top cushion was soaked. One it dried there was a horrible dark stained "ring" surrounding the top cushion. We were quoted $150 to have it cleaned with no guarantee it would work. Fast forward to our "kit" landing at the front door. I sprayed a light/medium mist of the pre-treatment solvent, just enough to barely darken the fabric. I then lightly sprinkled the "powder" on the cushion and used the brush to work the powder in focusing most of that effort on the ring stain. I waited 30 minutes and vacuumed off the powder. To my amazement "most" of the ring stain had vanished. I waited a couple hours but noticed that some of the stain had returned and that the front of the cushion had an area that was darker than the rest of the cushion, I believe it was where I had sprayed the pre-treatment a little heavier. I decided to use just the powder and re-applied it but this time spent about 5 minutes working it into the fabric, following the "grain" in a back and forth motion. I waited about 45 minutes and vacuumed. Viola! Stain has totally vanished and the product did not harm the chairs upholstery. This is an incredible product and some of the best money I have spent in a long time. It also goes a LONG way, this small kit will do about 100 sq ft, carpet wise not that much but for cleaning misc. stains, upholstery, wool , etc. it's plenty. The powder is actually a tiny bit damp so if I were to buy a bigger kit it would probably dry out before I was able to use it while fresh and damp. The small amount of moisture in the powder also means the kit was fresh so this seller will be my go-to if I need more in the future. Time for me to start inspecting everything and see what need a cleaning/freshening up next! Yes, it smells great too!

VERY pleased with this kit. Easy to use and it really takes carpet stains out. Using the brush helps lift the pile, too. My only question was that the brush has a hole for a handle, but I don't remember seeing the handle for sale.

Product worked well to remove chocolate on my new off white Persian rug. Only complaint is the package arrived w no visable damage put leaking white powder inside and outside the box. The canister holding powder had no plastic “seal” and the top was not snapped shut. There also was no spoon to spread the power as referenced in the instructions so no way to know how much to use on the recommended 2’x2’ area.

I have never been more amazed with any other rug cleaning product. I bought the beginner’s kit because I was sure if I’d like it. As I am a senior, I was only able to do a 2x2’ area before I got tired. All I had to do was spray the prep spray, I used a small flour sifter to spread the powder evenly ( there was no strong aroma). Then I used my own rug scrub brush because it had a handle. I rubbed it around the area, in all different directions. Because I don’t have a lot of strength, I needed to do that probably longer than most people. 1/2 hour later I vacuumed the area. There was no doubt which area I cleaned. I was almost embarrassed that my rug had gotten that dirty. Not only was it clean and brighter, you could rub your hand over it in comparison to the dirty area and it was soft and fluffy. I sent pictures to all my friends because it was so amazing. You need to buy this!

I have a hook loop area rug that needs special care - it isn't supposed to be cleaned with water. Dry powder cleaning was recommended, so I tried this product. I was disappointed with the results, as the high traffic areas I used it on were barely any cleaner even after two applications. To be fair, I'm not sure this was due to the cleaner not being effective or because the dirt was just too ground in to to be removed. My rug is a light blue and white, so dirt really shows up. Still, the product is touted for high traffic areas, so I was hoping for better results. (It *was* quite easy to use; I don't think the product was scented, so I couldn't really comment on that - hence the one star.)

I had two large coffee colored stain on the carpet of a condo when I bought it seven years ago. The carpet has been cleaned professionally three times and the stains remained. I used this product after reading a Washington Post article. There is no smell at all. The product is easy to use. Just lightly spray with the liquid and sprinkle a liberal amount of the powder. Brush it in and wait. Vacuum and that’s it. The stains are 100% completely gone. I am amazed and so happy about my carpet not needing to be replaced. The picture shows an are that used to have a large brown stain.

I’m very happy with the results . I was not happy with the spray bottle . It was a cheap piece of plastic and the spray nozzle wouldn’t work. I had to pour into another spray bottle to be able to use it . In addition the powder bottle had nothing to control the spreading of the powder .
