Fly Me To The Manga
Neon Genesis Evangelion Volume 3. Evangelion Volume picks off right after volume 2s bombshell ending which deviates from the original source material that makes it even better. Volume 3 continues the masterful adaptation of being similar to the anime but also taking the advantages of being a manga series. The biggest strength is the character development. The characters are the front and center of the manga even more so than the anime. Rei Ayanami in particular gets more of an arc than her anime counterpart. All accompanied by great art being the cherry on top of this manga. This manga is becoming one of my all time favorite mangas it hits all the check marks from characters, story , and art. I can’t recommend this manga enough.

Yes! Yes! Yes!
I finished rewatching Evangelion not that long ago and I wanted to see how the story was different and how things played out in the manga so I decided to buy the whole series. I know I could have just read it online for free but you see, I’m a physical copy kind of guy AND I’m bad at spending money. That’s why I’m here but back to the subject matter. The mangas came in on time. No damage on them and I read them within a span of a week or two (cause a guy can get busy) overall 10 out of 10 must buy if you love the series.

This is a story about a boy named SHINJI
Volume 3. Things go from terrible to absolutely horrifying in just a few pages. Imagine the anime but if it was longer and more detailed. Some pretty heavy stuff for a cast of 14 year olds.

I'm reading
The story keeps you on the seat reading. The manga is different from the anime. I think it makes a lot more sense, but the mood is darker more urgent. A good read that I recommend.

Amazing series and the print quality was great for all ...
Amazing series and the print quality was great for all the volumes, but every volume except the last one had pages coming out just from opening/closing the covers. Seems like a special case for me, but you should beware when purchasing.

This Helped me to understand the Anime Better.
The manga allows me the time to process the characters much more than the anime - Which seemed to breeze by them at a rapid pace. I also enjoyed the artwork which definitely drew me in and gave me the false sense that I was watching the anime. An awesome read and great graphic novel to own.

Awesome!
These 3-in-1 manga are a great deal. For the story you get, as well as the artwork, you can't do much better. This volume of the NGE series is great (just as all the others). Read it! It's just as good for long time fans as it is for people who are just getting into Eva.

Spot the difference...
One of the joys of reading Sadamoto-san's manga take on Evangelion is spotting the subtle differences between it and the TV series - they're subtle, blink and you'll miss 'em moments, but the best help unfurl the Eva mythos just that little bit more. Tantalising morsels of information to keep the longtime fans going, ruminating over and over in their heads to what it really all means. There's plenty of drama going on in this - the third of Viz's gorgeous collected editions. Presented in the slightly larger format, Sadamoto's character art positively leaps out of the pages - crisp lines and wonderful expressions bringing out another of the real joys present in this reworking - the arguably 'softer' takes on both Rei and Asuka. Here, while they are still very much the characters we know and love from the TV show, we are offered a slightly more 'human' Rei, and a more relatable Asuka. In both instances, the manic-ness of the anime versions is wheeled back in favour of something more akin to real-world teens. If anything, it's easier than ever to see through their eyes now. Also - for Kaoru fans - he's introduced far earlier in the manga than he is in the anime, leading to all manner of shower-scene antics with Shinji. As you'd expect.

When it's in stock, BUY IT!
For some reason this volume is so out of print it's insane! It went back in stock two days ago and it's all gone again! I luckily managed to pick up a copy, came in good condition too. I absolutely recommend this :DD

Damage from post
The book is a great read, the colour pages are fantastic, but it came quite damaged in the post. The book only came in a bag, with little to no protection - only a thin wrap of bubble wrap which was the bag. The book also came 6 days late.

Evangelion with much more better character development
If you're not a fan of the series, than this mange probably won't win you over either. It expands and goes much deeper in detail into the psychology behind the Evangelion series, as well as explaining Rei (especially in this manga) presenting her as a much more likable and humane character compared to her TV counterpart which is much more mysterious. This mange literally had me hoping things would work out between Shinji and Rei. In the TV series I honestly didn't care as much for their relationship. Much much more chatacter development presented in the manga.
