I wore this for a “Gentlemen’s” garden party. Having never worn an ascot before, I have nothing to compare it to, but I did find it very comfortable, easy to tie, and non-itchy. I even forgot I was wearing it. The material is just stiff enough to look great and won’t go limp even after hours of wearing. I got the “pink” one, which is actually a beautiful lilac color. And it looks great with green eyes. In future I would consider gifting one of these ascots they are really great quality!

The quality is decent, and the look is very good. I decided to order this, at first, as a joke to wear to law school. Well, come to find out, the ascot looked good! I received compliments on it, and people ask me when I will wear it again.It feels good around your neck, much more comfortable than a modern tie. The paisley pattern is beautiful.The pattern is really pleasant, and the quality makes it a good (not great, but good) value. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to try an ascot for the first time. I can't wait to wear mine this summer to casual (but classy) events.

This item provides a sophisticated, classic look. Though it is timeless and dials up any man’s presentation it is not for everyone. The look this item offers speaks to having a certain mindset that must exist long before the item is worn.

It's actually embroidered, unlike so many other ascots on here; the fabric is substantial and textured, so it doesn't slip easily. My only complaint is that it's short. Like, really short. I've got to practically have the tag on the front of my neck to get it tied with a proper allowance in front, and I only have a 17" neck. Otherwise, though, it's pretty sweet.EDIT: Having played around with it a bit, it stays in place and looks sufficiently bulky with fewer wraps than my others, so the shorter length actually works out just fine.

I've never worn an Ascot before when I wore this for my Steampunk costume. Finding tying instructions was relatively easy through YouTube. This piece of my costume was actually one of my favorite pieces because it's not costume quality. The tie is legit. It looked great and there's several ways to tie it to get the effect you want in your costume. The different styles of tying are relatively simple as well... at least easier than your standard windsor knots for typical ties.

TOO SHORT! This ascot is 14 inches shorter than a standard men's ascot. It is so short that it's impossible to properly tie it and keep it in place. Manufacturer used less fabric in order to pocket a few extra pennies. Label on the ascot says %100 silk. This is a lie. This ascot is %100 polyester. It is uncomfortable and warm to wear. This product is garbage and a complete waste of money. It probably cost them 50 cents to make it and they sell it for $15. It is shameful and very disappointing to see that Amazon allows these kinds of merchants do bussiness on their website and short-change Amazon customers.I DO NOT recommend this product.

I don't know how they measured this ascot. It is smaller than the dimensions suggested. I have a large neck (18"+) and have difficulty getting shirts that fit in the neck w/o looking like a tent. This ascot can be worn inside the collar and it just fits.

I liked the color and the pattern. People who say me in it said it gave me a "continental" look. Two small quibbles. It is short for my neck so I was not able to do the full knot that I wanted. It would be easier to tie if it were longer as well. This proved not to be a problem because the cravat knot did not slip (didn't come loose). The other problem is that it chafed a little. I'm not used to wearing neck-ware against my skin.
