Nice item - works really well.
I bought the version with the rechargeable battery back up. Important....you initially need a good strong sun for this item to get going, and needs a good hours charge in full sun, but once its charged up then, even in dull conditions the back up battery keeps it consistent.I took it out after being in the cupboard and thought it was broken, as it wouldn't work in what I thought was strong sun, but it wasn't - it obviously needs really good sun to kick it off....I tried it under a light bulb just so see if it would work too, and it did.I use it in my bird bath, but I find, if there is even a tiny breeze that the water emptys very quickly as its blown to one side.....so this would be fabulous placed fixed into the middle of a larger water area.Once going with full charge the jets can reach up to nearly two foot high!!!!

Water feature or bathroom bidet??
Sadly this has been sent back because it only produces a fountain when the FULL sun is out. Description states it reverts to the battery back up on shady days.. Hmmm, yes it does but produces a fountain that is about two inches high. The other issue I found was despite the fact that we bought a big, deep bowl to hold the fountain, the wind kept blowing the water everywhere and we kept filling the bowl so it didn't run out. It was basically hard work for very little return. Shame because I was quite excited about the whole thing and found it very disappointing. It looked more like a faulty bidet, than a water feature. Amazon were great as usual and didn't argue, allowing me to return for a full refund. We also noted that the water dropped off when we walked past it which showed its lack of power when in the shade. Very sensitive to light and for the size of it, I was very surprised. Shame, but with improvements with solar technology, I can see these features becoming very popular in the future. Just needs more work yet.

looks great
Order came within 4 days, so put it in my little pond. The next day was very sunny. It started working, looked lovely. However, after only 4 hours it stopped working altogether. I posted questions and got lots of replies advising what to do. Nothing worked. I emailed the seller and they said they would send a replacement. Again within 4 days I got another one. This one works absolutely fine, I can hear the motor on this one so the first was clearly faulty. The seller was quick to reply to my emails and quickly sent out a replacement without requesting I return the faulty one first. Excellent customer service and good product. The wind will blow the water so you need to keep an eye on the water level on windy days but was worth every penny.

It floats all on its own !
As a feature in a water garden . Delightful the way it works when it’s sunny .

Works well
So far this solar pump is working well and it's December so not as much light. The water comes out of the spout in spurts rather than continually which is ok for what I want it for. The top of the spout had to be removed as the water did struggle to come up that far but to be fair it is winter with not as much light as the rest of the year.

Works well when it does
Bought this as I wanted a fountain, was useful and interesting for the first 2 weeks but is just sitting since then. You constantly need to keep on adding water to the fountain, so that's an additional job, plus it needs a bit of sunshine to work. It works well in summer, but now in autumn, nothing much.

Cracking little pump.
Cracking little pump, works well although when it's windy the water needs topping up regularly. If water runs out pump stops working and needs to be encouraged to start again by putting in a dark place, I hold mine under the wheely bin lid for a few seconds and once in light again off it goes. Delighted with mine.

Good little water feature
Bought this for the summer really, but gave it a go in a bucket of water. Because the sun is weak it took a while to charge, however when it was charged it worked very well. Looking forward to installing it properly in the summer to make an interesting water feature.
