Upgrade to 5*: I've had this cane for over a year now and love it. It's proved sturdy and reliable, and it still attracts comments wherever I go. My thinking is: If you have to use it, flaunt it! Its goldiness makes people's day a little brighter.Bling on a stick! Gold fishscale pattern is eyecatching, wherever I go. Hey, I'm an old girly-girl, stuff like that counts. That's the big plus. Caveats are:- It's verrry light, possibly too light for serious duty (but, then, so is the price); probably okay used for balance, maybe not good for real leaning on.- I was surprised that it didn't have a dedicated Velcro band; instead, I have to wrap the stretchy wrist loop around and hook it over the tip, something that might be hard with arthritic hands, and how long before the elastic stretches out of shape and it's too loose to stay in place? I will probably try to attach Velcro and relieve the stress on the wrist loop.- My friend, a long-time cane user, pointed out that the height should be such that one's forearm is almost parallel to the floor when holding it, so I started adjusting the length. Got all the way to the top and my arm was still at a slant, adequate for me, but I'm only 5'3"; if you're tall, you probably need a longer, sturdier cane.- Note that with the full extension (see photo), the folded length is more problematic; it probably wouldn't fit in a glovebox, and would be more awkward to pack in a suitcase. And forget sliding it up or down at will, the pushbutton is very stiff. Annoying and, again, not good for arthritic hands.- The elastic that holds the pieces together rubs on the tube ends when the cane is folded. The tube ends are smooth, but the rubbing will inevitably break the elastic down. Impossible to know the timeframe on that, but fraying is bound to happen. On the other hand, at this price, who cares? Use it to learn the lessons of the arcane cane and move on the wiser for it.Bottom line: (1) Nice starter cane for the sake of balance IF you're short. Fortunately, that's just what I need, so I'll be using it until either my hip or the elastic gives out. (2) It's blingly beautiful!

Sparkly walking cane for balance
Overall I like the cane - it’s light weight yet sturdy enough to help me keep my balance. Very glossy and sparkly but am getting used to that.

excellent cane
It's strong, attractive and I really like its collapsible feature. It's just what I needed for those days when my knee feels too weak.

Petite buyers be warned
The seller has an inaccurate description of the height. I'm 5' tall, and needed it to be 31" as they claimed, but it was actually 31.6", making the cane too high for me to use effectively.
