Perfect replacement after the old gasket got loose
I used this trapway as a replacement part for my 12 year old Toto after the black rubber gasket slipped out of place from age and pressure from plunging the toilet. I first tried to find the gasket for sale but discovered that not onky is it is not sold separately but also the gasket has been redesigned and improved, and is integrated into the trapway. The new piece fit perfectly and the new design was actually a big improvement over the old one. It no longer makes the dripping sound after flushing, typical of older roughed in Toto toilets. Also since the gasket is better fitting, the bad mystery smell that was plaguing the bathroom is gone, it must have been sewer gasses escaping through the loose gasket. I'm so glad that I tried this rather than replacing the toliet!

The part I needed delivered quickly
This was the part I needed in order to be able to install the new toilet we bought. It arrived quickly and was much less than purchasing elsewhere.

Good option
Works for those Toto installs when the seeer flange is too close to the wall to use the supplied 12” piece.

Convert a 12" in. roughin to a 10" rough in toilet!
I just replaced a toilet. Purchased a new Toto toilet with a 12" rough in. My space where the new toilet was going to be installed has a 10" rough in. The only way the new toilet could be installed in the space was with this Unifit Trapway ffrom Toto, so I was very happy that Toto had this Unifit Trapway available because the toilet would not fit without the trapway.

Toilet technology has finally evolved
Buy with confidence that you'll never have a clogged toilet again. Toto makes some of the best around and worth every penny. Due to a custom tile wall we were unable to use the standard 12" trap, but this 10" model did the trick.

Well made product. I used it instead of the 12" unit that comes with the toilet. Toto should re-design this product so the length can be adjusted for the installation. Instead of a 14, 12, or 10 inch unit, there would just be one adjustable part.

Why?
While TOTO builds an excellent toilet that conserves water (presumably to also help the environment), it sends out a 12in. trapway with every toilet set. This forces the purchaser to pay substantial additional cost if you require the 10in or 14in. trapway if you need it for your place instead. The cost comes to about 10% of the cost of the original toilet. The original part, containing substantial plastic and design, therefore becomes useless and is presumably meant to be thrown out, wasting plastic and rubber, not to mention time and transportation, and at a substantial additional cost. Why claim to design an excellently efficient toilet, then charge the customer an additional amount to have them throw out an item that needn't have been sent in the first place? It would be logical (and more business and environmentally ethical), to have your dealer ask you which trapway would be appropriate for your toilet (a simple measurement while placing your order of the toilet), and include that with your original purchase.
