Not really suitable for compression socks
Product consists of two parts : the long handle for use ON ITS OWN to remove socks. The large tube part for putting on socks. Its not really suitable for COMPRESSION socks and the description would be better to indicate that rather than state that it includes compression socks especially for removal as the handle is over designed, two wide and elaborate and quite flimsy and is in danger of breaking so does not really help at all with the main problem of pushing round the heel. For putting on the socks the tube is ok but I think I may just stick with the one I already have but I will try it some more times. It is VERY cheap in comparison to others so for using on ordinary socks it may well be a good buy. I write this review to warn users of compression socks to avoid it.

Sock slider not suitable for compression wear.
This item is perfect for ordinary socks but very difficult with longer compression socks. It's VERY difficult to stretch the longer compression sock over it and then slide the rest down far enough especially if you have arthritic hands !! I eventually managed to get half the amount on. Because of limited hip and knee movement I couldn't push my foot in from a sitting position so had to stand up and hold on to something to balance myself. I eventually managed to get my foot into the sock and then struggled to push down but did manage it, however, my foot was only half way in the sock. I then tried using the shoe horn attachment to remove the compression sticking but the plastic kept bending because of the tightness of the sock. I wouldn't recommend this item for putting on compression stockings. !!

Problem solved
I really like this item. It's so easy to put a sock on now. I cannot do much tugging or bending so it's really simple. The only problem with it, not that I found one but my neighbour found. I recommended this to him because he cannot bend down without hurting his back. Initially it could work for him but he has a very broad foot. He said that it was hurting his foot to put it into the foot holder because of it not being wide enough. One size does not fit all unfortunately. So if you've got a nice slender woman's foot it works. Anything wide it won't. Hope this helps.I use this to get my support stockings on too and so much easier !!!

Useful once mastered
This does work but its a workout getting ladies socks onto it. The handle is really helpful but is flimsy at the y junction and after only 3 weeks use my handle has snapped. No manufacturer details to write to them for another handle

Very flimsey and poorly made
Bought this after hip replacement and after finding NHS model does not work!! This would, in days gone bye, be known as 'Jerry Built' very poor but it does work. Just have the super glue handy!

Very uselful
Takes a little getting use too, but once you've got the hang of things, it becomes invaluable.
