Works well and lead free
I use this 1 inch line when I am filling up a pesticide tank for spraying so I thought it might be a good idea to have a backflow valve on this line just in case. Works well.

No problems. Installs in any direction. My install wasn't exactly horizontal, so it is a good option for you if you need a vertical installation. (Some check valve only work if horizontal). It is well made. Threads not damaged.

Works as advertised
Installed it upstream of our well pump and it works perfectly only complaint is that I had to order it twice the first time I got an empty envelope. But they made it right

The internal part are cheap plastic, the action on the valve is rough, this product will breakdown with months and will not perform very poorly under continuous use. Home Depot sells a far superior valve for $2 less in cost (action is very smooth, internals made of brass, no plastic).
