Bigger than expected but will work perfectly for my caving harness. Heavy and well made

For my frog system. Cave rappelling and climbing.
I replaced my mallion D ring with this. I’m a caver and rappel and climb using a frog type system. My mallion D ring came with a threaded problem. For years I added a small wire plier to my kit and kept in my back pocket while climbing. I have several CAMP brand binders and like them a lot. I found this D ring and decided to replace my mallion. This one I can open and close with my hand. The way the mallion should have worked. I also use CAMP brand helmets.

It's a beast
This thing is huge. I originally purchased to replace the shoulder adjustment plastic D rings on my BC, but these are way too big for that. They function fine and I'll throw this into my hunting/camping pack.

Technical gear for a great price
Meets all the same technical specifications as Maillon Rapide D-ring (or half round or half moon or whatever name you prefer), for half the price and prime shipping. Screw gate works smoothly, great for a caving harness.

I'm sure this is safe enough, but the link does not turn smoothly on the final two turns when closing the link. This is an oversight in quality I wouldn't expect from a UIAA rated device.
