Heavy-Duty Oil Filter Strap Wrench | 3/8" & 1/2" Drive | 3529D

I bought this through the Amazon warehouse. The product was used still a good product and doesn’t make me mad at Amazon warehouse. It makes me mad at these customers that buy a product use it for what it’s intended to be used for and then return it to the store covered with dirt and oil, people like that well, you know where I’m going with this. The product itself heavy duty looks solidly built. I can update the review later as I use it. and after I use it, I won’t return it. Thank you former purchaser.

Love this style of filter wrench. Can use it in many positions. A long handle ratchet will always get an overtight filter off.

I was a little skeptical at first when considering this product but this was even before my first oil change on my new truck and I saw on youtube how some people struggled to get the filter in the location that it is in. So without trying to drain my oil and attempt to pull off the filter and failing and then ordering the product which would come in a day or 2, I decided to buy it and lo and behold it did the work pretty easy. Now I have. 2020 Ram 3500 and what I ended up having to do was access the location of the filter form the top of the engine bay and use like 18 inches of ratchet extensions just to be able to have nthe leverage to move in this tight space. But nonethe less it did work and it took the filter off with ease. I only wish that RAM decided to put this filter in a more convenient location!

with some fighting as we know if we are ripping old filters off a rig, this works..

First time using the product was to break loose a hydraulic filter housing on a loader. This strap wrench was put under some extreme tension before popping a couple stitches. The canister will need to be replaced, but we were able to remove it. The loader operates in extremely corrosive conditions. The strap did not break, but gear wrench sent a replacement immediately after notifying them about the stitching that popped. Would recommend for industrial heavy duty use.

If you ever need a 3 foot breaker bar to remove an oil filter this is the tool for you. Saved me from cursing the Kubota factory for putting a filter on so tight it broke all my other oil filter wrenches.
