Great for my mini 15 583 series
So.. it’s not for a mini 14 but they both fit mine perfectly. Super quality, great matted black finish and rust free. 10/10 would recommend if you’re doing a scope mount.

Ughhh … not good
Ok. Ordered these thinking they would give me more options for mounting scopes as there are so many weaver based options. Got the weaver bases and installed onto my M77 top tang version. Torqued the base screws to 60lbs as the directions indicated. On the last set screw I broke a quality bit before achieving 60lbs. Ok no problem as I knew it was over 55lbs as I had worked my way up. Got some weaver rings and tried to install them. They were too wide ugghhh. Ordered Burris zee rings. They installed fine. However, I have iron sites on my M77. My 44mm scope wouldn’t fit and due to the lack of slots on this weaver mount I simply was unable to mount the scope. I didn’t want to go higher as that gets pretty silly. I took the set of weaver rings that were to wide but a bit taller and shaved some metal off them so they would fit around the mounting flanges of this mount. Woot that worked but as I sat there and looked at it, I just didn’t like the setup. So now what. I actually broke a few more T15 bits and wrenches during this entire process thinking I could loosen them. Ok. I want this off. Not happy with it. Impact driver. Nope broke 2 more tips. How many T15 bits does a guy have???? Here’s the deal. If you are mounting a red dot that won’t take any more space then a single weaver slot. Sure this might work. If you are only mounting a regular scope get the Ruger rings. It will give you more flexibility to mount. I had to dremel these off which eliminated any chance of getting my money back. Fortunately I didn’t damage the rifle. Do NOT follow the directions and torque to 60in/lbs. you will damage the mounts if ever you want to remove them and possibly damage the gun. Go with 50jn/lbs. I made some mistakes here. I knew 60lbs was too much for the size of screw. But I’m a spec person. I also should have dry fit everything. Unfortunately where we live Amazon takes 5-7 days to deliver so I was just trying to get ahead of the game as I waited for the scope and rings. Lessons learned. For mounting regular scopes there are better options out there. Only utilize these mounts for very specific applications. I’ve mounted my share of scopes. This was not a good experience for me. Down the road I may consider the full rail option but at close to $100 it’s overkill for mounting a standard 44mm scope.

Great mounts if you install carefully
Great mounts if you install carefully. The Ruger mounting system allows for you to install any mounts off center if your not precise on the install. I like to tighten the screws with the mount off, then back them out evenly (about 3 turns). Then when I put the mount on, I tighten the screws on each side evenly until the mount is set. A little blue locker on the threads keeps it in place. Makes for a solid mount point.

Typical high Burris quality
I purchased this coupling to mount a Burris scope to a Ruger M77 MK II. The adapters worked as advertised but because of the number of mechanical connections the mating wasn't rock solid. By grasping the scope it was easy to cause what I feel was significant lateral movement. Any movement in a scope mounting system is subject to failure and cause for concern. I finally mounted another brand of scope that didn't require the use of this adapter. I give this product a 5 star rating because it is very well made, high quality and reasonably priced. In my case I chose the wrong product to complete that task.
