Best step-drill I've ever used!
This is very well sharpened and cuts through hard Subaru structural sheet metal with ease. Though I haven't put it to a severe test I see no reason why it wouldn't perform well. I'm an ex-machinist and model maker and I think many users and some reviewers don't realize what these bits are best at doing and also don't use any lubricant and probably spin them way too fast. When used properly they should last for punching clean holes in sheet metal. It's always good practice to drill a small pilot hole (like 1/16" to 1/8" diameter) before enlarging it with the step drill.

Good price and works great as a metal bit. Makes clean holes and is very durable.

BEST DRILL BIT I HAVE EVER USED
This drill bit is the best I have ever used. It easily drills through all types os metal, even thick, hardened steel. This bit has been able to drill multiple holes in metal that other brand-new bits couldn't even start to penetrate.

Seems well made, but not sure about stainless steel
It worked better than my titanium coated step drill, but it still took a really long time to drill a hole thru a commercial grade stainless steel sink. I only drilled 2 steps and the steel wasn't that thick. Maybe I was doing something wrong. Anyway, the point still seemed sharp after I was done, but I don't know if it would have survived a second attempt.

Really cuts through metal well. Multiple spiral flutes are a real game changer
I own a lot of step drills. From high end tool trucks all the way down to HF. They are okay and help chunk through both thin and thick steel. I have killed a few (burned the cutting edge off them) trying to get them to cut faster than they are capable/willing to go. In looking for a replacement, I saw that this drill has both multiple flutes (so more cutting surfaces) and a twisted flute design (to better clear chips). The price was reasonable so I bought it. It was a very good move. The cutting is much faster that the single flute versions and the chips are ejected better so this has become my go-to for all hole cutting and the rest of the drill crew is getting jealous! The hex shank is a bonus and you don't have to tighten it so much to keep it from slipping in the drill chuck. Grab one, it's worth it

VERY IMPRESSIVE
Bought this after Project Farm reviewed it. VERY IMPRESSIVE. These cut like a hot knife through butter in just about anything.

Utilisé pour agrandir un trou dans une plaque de plastique. Permet un travail propre et progressif.

I've tried a number of cobalt step bits and this Temo one seems good so far. Sharp and cuts well. Can't comment on longevity but I bought Temo because it seems to be the one that stays sharper longer than others based on what I found. Couple of things to know though - it's not officially impact rated so if you have a failure using an impact driver that's on you. That said when I did tests, it was always better when using a drill rather than impact so I'd just use a drill. I should have bought the 13 step not the 6 step. The 6 works great but the transition between each step is a bit jarring, it would be smoother with the 13.
