Matin Camera Lens Cleaner Brush Lipstick Design - Natural Wool / Small

This brush is great for what it is intended to be: a small portable lens brush that works great and takes up little room in your camera bag. It opens and closes like a lipstick tube; the bristles remain straight and clean. Made of wool and from China which differs from the listing description (I find that no big deal). Negative reviews about the cap being too tight are from 2021 and apparently that issue has been fixed. I have purchased other photo products from this brand and have found them all to be good quality at a reasonable price.

I bought this lipstick-sized brush as a dust remover to help with the project of digitizing my collection of several thousand slides. I'm happy I did. It's the perfect size and softness for that task, and does a great job when paired with a Giotto Rocket blower. It won't scratch your negatives or your slides. Yes, it's plastic, but not cheap plastic. It has been knocked off my desk several times without damage. Like lipstick, the brush retracts with a twist of the case, so it's easy to cap and keep clean.

Brush bristles come off while using leaving the bristles on the camera lens. Having used many lipstick brushes over the years, this one is worthless. Going in the trash.

The lens brush came in time and with the very soft bristles removed some stubborn tiny dust particles that wouldn’t blow off. The “lipstick” style case is inexpensive black plastic rather than metal, but doesn’t affect the purpose of the brush for removing dust specks from a lens or filter.

Good little cleaner brush that cleverly retracts into the case: this keeps the brush clean and undamaged, whoch is important because my archival storage is in several locations so I need to carry my tools with me. Great idea, well executed, highly recommend.

I recently read an article in one of my astronomy magazines regarding the care and maintenance of telescop optics. I purchased this brush as a better way to keep my optics clean of random dust and debris. Works as advertised.

Somebody came up with a great idea where it seems like everything does double duty. The soft bristles are retracted into the barrel to keep them from getting crushed and soiled, they extend like a lipstick and are long and soft so they don't scratch a lens as you brush dust from the surface, then they retract to keep them clean and straight, plus the cap assures they will remain clean, even in your pocket, until needed again. highly recommended.

It is as described and perfect for my needs.
