Good Product - Tough - Lasts a Long Time
Used these for years to protect dog’s feet and stop from itching/chewing. Dogs are tough on them but they last longer than one would think they would under heavy use. Machine washable with no damage.

Light duty and bandage covering
As a vet tech and dog trainer I use boots often on my dogs. I bought these XL for my 120 pound Rottie Service Dog primarily to protect his bandaged foot when going out in the wet grass, which they work well for. Pros: you do get 4 boots for one price, however that's also a con. They fit ok. Fine for Light Duty walking around the neighborhood to keep feet off hot pavement or just keep them clean. Great to cover an injured foot and bandage. Breathable. Good for dogs who slip on hardwood floors. Reflective straps easily seen at night. Cons: All one size, back ones are too big and twist around making them backwards, no matter how tight which could rub blisters. Not durable enough for hiking on rough terrain. Sole not thick enough for long wear. Make sure dewclaws are in the boot. I have used Ruff Wear boots for years, they are more expensive but well worth it if you are doing hiking or rough terrain and want a boot that stays in place and won't rub blisters. They come in pairs only so you can get the right size for front and back feet because back feet are almost a size smaller in most cases of large breed dogs. If you want a light duty boot for short walks on flat terrain these should work just fine. If you want something for long hikes in rugged, rough terrain, invest in Ruff Wear boots, your dog will thank you.

good quality comfy booties
Just received these yesterday. I purchased 2 sets for my 75lb catahoula leopard girls in size medium. My dogs feet measure 2.75inches (definately less than 3 inches) when standing. I measured by tracing the largest feet on a sheet of paper. Im not exactly sure if this is the right size tho. They were a bit difficult to get on because my dogs are strong and active so I broke a sweat! Only kept them on for about 30 minutes to see if sizing & quality was good but I think these are very useful. The booties seem to fit just right without flopping. They fit like a very slightly loose thick new sock. The velcro like straps are sewn on well and hold strong. The rubber bottoms and fabric are like from a persons wet shoe but the top blue fabric has pin holes in it to allow the foot to breathe which is good. Bottom black rubber has treads. Will be good to protect from hot pavements or from sharp shells & glass on the beach. even Has reflective tape on the straps! I found that if they are strapped on snug enough the boot doesnt flip around on the foot and doesnt fall off. But Is this the right size or should there be more room I wonder?? Besides that my one girl with the sensitive paws and painful cuts seemed to like them. My other girl still needs to get used to them. I may order the large and see if the fit is better or is easier to put on. overall looks like a good quality bootie. I like the construction & length.

Difficult fit and straps
I have had these for over six months now. I had originally bought these for my dog when his paw pads were injured from a hike. While they were useful for recovery, I had been holding off on reviewing in case I figured out the best way to use them. Sizing: I would definitely see a benefit if these were sold in 2 instead of 4 or have the option available for those who have dogs with different sizings. My dogs back paws fit a medium perfectly but his front would not pass the fabric at all. I ended up getting the large and returning the medium. The issue I have with sizing is that his front fit the large, but it is to big for him. Even now with the adjustment of wearing the boots, he keeps on tripping on the extra space (mostly his front paws). He would also trip when he had socks on underneath. No matter what I do with the straps the extra spacing is always there. It would be great if there was some more size options for those that fall in between sizes. Straps: I have a complete love hate relationship with the straps. The love is that there are two and they are adjustable. Yep that’s it. I have so many complaints with the straps. One is that they are way too stretchy. I get they are stretchy because they are made for endurance and comfort/flexibility, but it is ridiculous how much stretch they have. The boots keep falling down or twisting so I have to constantly readjust them to the point where there is to much strap hanging free (and possibly cutting off blood circulation). Maybe this could be fixed if they used a less flexible strap (at least one that doesn’t continuously stretch). Also the reflector tape is purely tape and has already unglued itself from majority of the straps. I had to rip the rest off. Definitely an issue caused by the stretch of the strap itself. Durability: They are light and definitely not bulky like the hard rubber boots. The shape of it gives room for flexibility and running. I would not say it is durable. It will most certainly wear down from a certain amount of use especially on pavement within a year. And if your dog trips like mine, then you will be awarded chaffing on the soles and upper seems of the toes of the boots. Overall, Really wished they worked for my dog. It had all the right ideas such as the higher leg cover and a flexible boot shape and weight. I just think my dog didn’t fit the requirements of sizing which caused the majority of issues. I also believe that they need to use different type of straps. They can most certainly use stretch but use one with less stretch to avoid over extending. These will definitely be useful to those that have dogs that fit the sizing charts and fill the shoe in perfectly. Or for those who just need a protective sock for the injured. It could possibly work for dogs that can readjust their walking to the shoe, avoiding tripping. It is not for dogs who don’t fit the sizing and leave space in the boots. It will cause a tripping hazard and a headache of readjusting. Absolutely not for small breeds and short legs.

Protective bootie for my dog's toe surgery
Thank you for this excellent product!! These booties are perfect for my dog. He had to have a toe surgically amputated and his foot was bandaged. The bandage came off and I had one reapplied. The second one only lasted a few days so I desperately was looking for alternatives.... I'm very pleased with how this bootie works to protect his healing surgical wound! The neoprene top is soft, smooth and breathable, yet sturdy. It fits snugly and secures with the velcro strap easily. The rubberized sole is both supportive and flexible. It keeps his foot dry when he has to go outside in the snow. It is easy to put on him as the back of the boot opens up. And it stays on his foot, doesn't slip. All in all a perfect design for this alternative use! I didn't need all 4, so am thinking of donating the other 3 to my vet.
