Nice for the money
I got it did the initial break in she runs like a champ the only problem is I bumped a light post I mean bumped not slammed and the bumper broke so I would suggest upgrades as soon as possible but outside of that oh yeah loc time (blue) all screws on under carriage because they will come out from the vibration of the engine

Awsome Rampage xt
Everything the above poster said is true. Runs very good out of the box and its fast for the size and weight of the vehicle. Ive looked at the other brands of 1/5th scale vehicles and their twice the price as the Rampage xt but some come with a smaller motor. It runs good on all surfaces but on dirt and grass it really Rocks. I have a few friends that have Nitro rc trucks and they couldnt wait to see mine and they thought it was Awsome. They liked the fact I could just go to any gas station to get fuel where they have to go to a hobby shop to get a 30 to 40 dollar a gallon nitro fuel. The only downside is not every local hobby store has parts or upgrades for Redcats yet, Some are starting to get them tho but you can find them online if you need some. So If your tired of spending alot for nitro fuel and want to try a 1/5th scale and not break the bank check out the Rampage XT

Poor Quality. Seller will not take back. JUNK. $700.00 POJ
JUNK. I ordered this truck an was excited to get it. After receiving it, I was immediately unhappy. It did not and does not show where the battery goes. Secondly, as soon as I opened it I tried to do a return and was denied. It says No return for this item. So, here I am stuck with something that I am not at all happy with. Oh, I received it past saturday. Now, forward to today, Thursday, 5 days later my Grandson comes by and he wants to set it up and get it going so, Pawpaw of course says sure. We take it out, Add gas and get it started. Now, remind you I am almost 69 so I am NOT hard on any of my stuff. Now, he gets it started. lets it run at idle a while then without the body on, I run it around our yard which is very small. After maybe 2 to 3 minutes it is near the house, NO REVERSE, so my grandson goes and gets it. Before I get it back to us, the Control Arm is broken. It is Broken insice the Upper control are so now I have this $700.00 piece of junk until I can try to find parts and pay to get it fixed. I will stick to my Trusty electric RC's as I have not had any of those to break yet and I have had most of them a long time. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Nice truck once it’s sorted out
This Truck requires a lot of attention. It is a hobby class item and I get it. I expected this, it’s not my first pump gas RC and I expected to have to go over everything before first run. Instructions tell you to check every thing, tighten all fasteners, apply locktite to all metal to metal screws/bolts. Also after every session go over it again. I get it. I do not do jumps with it or beat it to death so it’s not falling apart and I broke in engine as per instructions . Non waterproof power switch is installed behind left front wheel letting all kinds of junk into it. The non sealed module/battery box requires 4 screws removed to access, one screw is under air filter. Inside module box is the ESC and Battery pack, neither are attached and will slide around like a pinball if you do not attach with double stick tape. The unit was shipped to me with wrong body support struts, not even close to attach body. I ended up using a heatgun to adjust body struts and adding extra holes to body to get it to fit. My first reaction to body issues was to make a warranty claim to replace them but their web site blocks me. I did want to upgrade it from their site. Is it fun to run…yes, when it howls by it is a site to behold. Just be sure to go into this purchase with you eyes open and take good care of it. It is a reasonable price for what is.

Tighten the screws ( transmission too)
Runs good , I use trufuel only ( never have carb problems) the exhaust is soft , I rolled it and bent it up , it’s fun and quick for the size I’ve added a kill switch ( I’ve had to walk a mile before ) I would recommend it. It’s overall great for the price . It’s not for beginners and it will roll easy on grass , it’s big and loud and fun. . If you want a fun truck this is it , it’s not a basher but when the tank gets low , just fill it up and continue, don’t have to change the battery . Had it less than a month, I will update after it has some time on it .. thanks again redcat ( my second gas vehicle) making fun affordable!!!

Rampage XT
This truck is so much fun. I knew when I saw it that it would be loads of fun and I was right. The break in was easy to do and the truck runs great. I don't have enough room at my house to open it up so I took it to work where I was abe to really get some speed out of it. Very fast and super nimble for the size. It is a big and heavy truck but like I said it really can move as long as you have the space to let it go. I ran it in dirt, gravel, blacktop and grass and no matter where I ran it would just keep going and going. The battery pack that came with it holds its charge good. I did find out that after you run 2 tanks through it you must recharge the battery pack since when I had it at work it gave out before I got through the first tank of gas. At least I had it close by and was able to stop it before it took off but I found it wouldn't go far since the system will just shut down when the battery power is low. Can't wait to have the time to play with it again and have a lot of fun with it.

Rampage Xt 1/5 Scale Gas Truck
Love the truck well built runs great. Would suggest to move the on and off switch somewhere else due to dirt and debri causing problems with it so I'm having to remove and pull it apart and clean it. Other then that great truck worth the price. Speed is great and battery live to run the servos no problems able to run the truck multiple times with gas refills.

Make sure you install a dynamite remote kill switch in the truck before you run it

Out of the box it came packaged well, and came with two manuals. One from Redcat, the other is for the engine. I customized mine with tig welded exhaust tips, shock sacks, heat tape, mud skirts & reinforcing the body. It’s got a decent little 30cc two stroke powerplant which does get the truck up to speed pretty well. It’s all wheel drive so it does manage to have pretty good handling, however it is not forgiving in terms of taking corners or needing to slow down. The truck has an actual disc brake which does work but the truck is heavy and has a tendency to drift around corners with poor to moderate grip. Very fun truck but it did require a going-over when new. Mine had a bound-up center diff ring gear which I had sorted out in short order. If you are unaware of what I’m talking about, either do some research before thinking about one of these or expect to do the same. This truck is about the size & weight of a Traxxas Xmaxx and will take up some space. A lot of people would consider this type of RC as an “endgame” type since it’s fairly involved. All in all, cool truck. Loses a star from me for the lack of goodies. The parts aftermarket is not great for this specific model, however I have had success with designing & printing my own parts like the steering knuckle that broke on me as an example. Would recommend but only to those willing to put the work in
