Sharp and handy
This is a great little knife. I like to have something to use at work for miscellaneous cutting such as boxes or packages or whatever. I needed to have something that is small enough not to be considered a 'weapon' according to the law. This is a small blade but is handy because the flat part is good for scraping and prying and the serrated edge is excellent for cutting string or packaging. I like how Gerber's release mechanism works, you can use the little knob on the side to flick the blade out, or the extension on the back of the blade to lever it out. This mechanism is very handy for one handed use. I would probably recommend this blade type for anyone and this particular blade for general, outdoor, or even military or law enforcement use. The serrated edge is very helpful in cutting a seatbelt in an emergency or many other emergency situations. I have used Gerber knives many times in my Marine Corps career, I carried several of them during my three tours in Iraq. They are handy for a number of reasons, but I have found that their durability and quality is excellent. These smaller and less expensive knives are just as good as the bigger and more expensive versions. I definately recommend this item and the other, similar knives from Gerber.

This is my perfect everything/everyday knife
This knife is my go to everyday knife. I carry it at least 80-90% of the time. It's small enough you don't notice it when it's in your pocket but large enough to get most jobs done. The only reason I don't carry it 100% of the time is that I got a kershaw assisted opening tanto that I have grown as fond of as this knife. Pro's: I love the blade and the lightness of this knife, for its size you can't beat the light weight. the opening mech is great out of the box and for someone who uses their knife a lot (I am one of those people) I want a knife that opens fast and easy one handed but is not so loose when you open it that it feels flemsy. This knife doesn't have any of that at all. Cons: This knife is a great little knife but it is slim and the handle is not really built to fit bigger hands. I could have definitely gotten the larger size EVO tanto and been okay with it. If you can get past the slim blade and slim handle there isn't anything wrong with this little knife. I will be giving it as a gift to a few of my buddies this Christmas that's for sure.

Excelent Knife!
it is a great knife and it has been really durable to the kind of things I have cut. I like that it is compact and I really like the knifes edge. I carry it every day in my pocket and I have forgotten sometimes that I carry it because it has such a slim profile when it is closed in. but even though the knife is slim it has the perfect handle for whenever you are going to use it. the paint hasn't come on by the use exempt when I scratch it with some steel screws, other then that the paint is on good conditions, the screws are still holding the blade straight and it is not loose. it is still easy to open and it doesn't swing freely open after using it for a while like other knife have done.

Beautiful Knife
This is an elegant looking pocket knife, it looks elegant yet tactical at the same time. It is compact, not as large as some pocket knives, but very very sharp. Over all I'm happy with this purchase, however, there are some flaws. The belt/pocket clip is quite strong and makes it a bit difficult to remove it from my pocket quickly, in an emergency situation this could potentially cost lives, but that's obviously a worst case scenario. Also the flipper style opening is awesome, but takes practice to get it right. If you don't flick your wrist fast enough it only opens about half way, if you flick to hard it opens all the way but the liner lock gets jammed up and makes it difficult to close. And it was also a bit of a chore to get the timing down for a flawless opening. Overall I would recommend this item because it is a great knife, and it's the closest to what I was looking for... Tanto, skeleton handle, flipper... if only it was assisted opening it would be perfect!

One of the better Gerber knives!
I own a few Gerber knives and dozens of other brand knives. This is one of my favorites. I bought one for my sister a few months ago because it's one of their more compact knives. I liked hers so much that I ended up buying one for myself. It was razor sharp out of the box. A little tight but an easy fix. I know this is pretty unorthodox, but I washed it. I put it in my jeans pocket and put it through the laundry. Yes, I did it on purpose. I've done it with a few knives that have been too tight and it loosens them up. Now this one opens without any flick of the wrist and it did not rust at all. Just use the push or the thumb stud and it's ready. It's a sturdy and well-crafted knife. I love it. One of my favorite tanto blades!

Good Pocket Knife
Despite other comments regarding crappy metal and then, of course, suggesting another brand this is a decent pocket knife. I carry it every day. I use it to open boxes, packages and have even used it to cut up fruit and steak on occasion. At Christmas time as toys are being opened from the cardboard mazes that are zip-tied like prisoners in a zombie movie, I am constantly asked by family to use the knife. Rule number nine is always carry a knife. So the next year for Christmas I buy all the adults a pocket knife. The next Christmas they show up without it and again ask for my knife. Are you going to take out a terrorist cell with this knife, no. In fact if you brandished it in an alley knife fight you would be laughed at. That said for its purpose it is durable, dependable and can be sharpened when necessary. I keep a few extras in the package in a drawer in case I lose the one in my pocket.
