Building Computer Vision Projects with OpenCV 4 and C++

Absolutely fantastic book for C++ programmers who are new to OpenCV. Very clear guidance and example code to get you up and running quickly.

I have been doing my best to work through this book. I got it to guide me through OpenCV in C++ as I need it for some applications I'm working on. The book and even the examples on github are full of holes, errors and missing components. Do not buy this book, it will set you back not give you an understanding.

Apparently the authors didn't do any type proof reading and are not up on the latest version of OpenCV even though if says OpenCV 4. For $50 I not a happy camper!

If you're looking for an intro to OpenCV this is an excellent resource. It starts slowly and shows how easy it is to use the basics of OpenCV.

The contents of the book is really good, first covering basics and the second half deep learning with Opencv, mostly applications based. But all looks very interesting, however the code is of the older versioneg CV_LOAD_IMAGE_COLOR should read IMREAD_COLOR etc.After spending some time reading the book noticed the print quality is absolutely poor. The print is coming off. The paper and print quality is very inferior. The text is getting wiped off between pages itself and also if you remove a post it or your hand rubs off it. For the money being paid....***Too many errors ******poorly edited grammar******* horribly low quality print and paper****

Não consigo imaginar uma obra envolvendo uma biblioteca tão complexa sem o uso de muito código fonte. A obra apresenta códigos interessantes, dando a chance de compreensão e prática.

The work presents interesting codes, giving the chance to understand and practice and be useful to C++ programmers who are new to OpenCV. Very clear guidance and example code to get you up and running quickly. However, some terms and concepts are introduced without explanation.
