An amazing book
This book is really great. Tne pictures are fantastic and the text is very well written. They explain about the great part of Hokusai's life and his excellent production. I recommend.

Beautiful book with all of Hokusai's landscapes
The book is published by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, which has an excellent collection of Japanese art and a outstanding staff. I have a number of their books on AJapanese art and so far have always been extremely pleased.

Not the best binding
The book itself is everything an art fan could hope for, but several pages fell RIGHT out of the binding!

Seeing Hokusai and Understanding Hokusai
Generously illustrated with beautiful reproductions, and insightful information, this book lets us know and appreciate his unique genius. It would be difficult to find something this good or pleasurable. Thank you for producing it.

Hokusai is the great of ukiyo-e and when you peruse this you'll see why. Beautiful art and a great quality book

Il volume è ben curato, copertina telata, ottima rilegatura, bella la carta e la qualità dei colori. Il formato non è forse dei più adatti per ospitare opere del grande Hokusai. Alcune stampe risultano piccine, e non rendono giustizia alla loro bellezza. Tuttavia altre a piena pagina portano equilibrio in tal senso. Nel complesso un volume certo importante con un eccellente rapporto qualità+prezzo. Acquisto obbligato per gli amanti delle opere di questo indiscusso artista.
