These are perfect to hold taut the top of the cover on my garden swing seat over winter. Before using these clamps, rain water would collect in the top meaning I would get wet having to drain it out. So far they have held the cover strongly for about a month without me having to re-adjust anything. The springs are very strong and I didn’t have a problem opening the clamps with my small hands. Would recommend and buy more for other things.

3rd time lucky, after ordering 2 other sizes of various quality, which immediately went back due to the springs being ridiculously strong with no grip (need two hands to open), or too small and flimsy and hard to open. These are just about the perfect size now to fit a regular curtain pole, and the orange foot stays in place without rotating to the point where it accidentally breaks off if you let go and it's at the wrong angle. Marked down because the springs are so strong, which is totally unnecessary for holding a backdrop on a curtain pole or whatever. I'm not a weak man, but I'd like to not have to have a workout whilst clamping my backdrops before a photoshoot. I'm sure these were made for clamping glued wood together or something involving a lot of pressure, and are doubling up as backdrop clamps for photographers. Oh well, I guess it will have to do since there doesn't seem to be anything better out there. They could have at least made the handles longer for more leverage
