Quality vise at an affordable price
The machining is clean and the sliding action is smooth. Secure your piece without using cumbersome clamps. Grips well without crushing. A nice addition to any drill press.

Good value for a small Dril Press Vise.
I just received this 4" vise. It is nicely finished and is solid and quite heavy for its size. It would be a good choice for a hobbyist or in use with a drill press for work holding. It could also be used on a weld bench to hold parts for welding. It has a nice chrome-plated tightening screw and the jaws are made of hardened steel. They are secured with socket-head screws and could be replaced with shop-made soft jaws if desired. By the way, it was made in India, one of the few countries that still does cast-iron foundry work. All in all, I'm pleased with this vise. I would recommend it to others.

Good for the price but completely covered in thick grease and needed to hit it with a lot of WD40
Cheep but effective

Just love this tool!
First off the package came pretty late in the evening and the box was a bit bang up. There was no problem with that at all. But the drill press vise is a wonderful tool for drilling a hole in a funny shaped piece of wood that you can't hold or clamp down. I'm working on some gingerbread projects and this tool came in handy for drilling a hole at 1/4" down so the cute little dowel things would fit in. I'm proud of it and I will be using this tool plenty often. I haven't tried the drill press clamps and the drill stops as yet. But I'm sure they will be of great use to clamp down a piece or to drill a certain depth and such. Wish I could post a picture of the fan bracket I made... Fay

Where are the teeth in the jaws?
I looked at all the pictures and did not realize there are no biting teeth on the vice jaws. How are you supposed to hold a round item? I guess it’s my fault for assuming most vises come with some biting mechanism.

Finally got a Drill Press Vise.
I have been meaning to purchase one for awhile and finally did. No more using vise grips to hold my items. This one works perfectly and has saved my fingers a few times already. I highly recommend you get one of these for your drill press.
