Aqua Optima Anti-bacteria Water Filter 3 pack - as effective as boiling water

A bit pricey - but good. But: these filters last for three months - why not a four piece package, so I can buy once a year?

These filter well and fit PUR, if you know what to do.When I first placed this in the PUR filter picture, it leaked like a sieve. I was just about to toss it in the trash and write a bad review when my wife noticed that the o-ring looked out of place. I have to mention that I placed this directly into the filter right out of the wrapper. The o-ring was beneath a spacer right on the filter itself. When she placed the o-ring into the grove, it fit fine and no leaks. The ironic thing is that the PUR filter also has an o-ring, but no spacer so right out of the wrapper, they look the same. You have to make sure the o-ring is seated correctly or it will not work at all.Next - we filled the picture with water and this drips super slow. 35 minutes later and it is still not finished.So - make sure the o-ring is seated, be patient and get nicely filtered water.

These fit my PUR water pitcher. It is the 5 cup one like this: PUR 5 Cup Water Filter Pitcher CR-4000  It fits some other pitchers too, but this is the one I tested it with.They just screw right down in it and they seem to be working fine. I can't validate the filtering quality but I can only say that the water tastes very good, like before when I used the PUR filters.These filters last for 80 gallons or about 3 months and I am quite pleased with that.These filters have a 4 stage filter- they filter out sediment, heavy metals, and it says chlorine, herbicides, and pharmaceuticals. They DO retain Flouride.Each filter is individually packaged so you can take them out of the box to store if you like. This is 3 pack so it is about a 9 month supply.

We've been using this water filter for the last few weeks in our Pur pitcher and have had absolutely no problems. They fit the pitcher perfectly, and the water tastes excellent. We use filters since our tap water normally has some off flavors that my wife and I neither like. I thought my Pur filter was doing fine, but after switching it has made all the difference. It's strange to talk about how delicious water is, but this filter has really improved the quality. I haven't tried a pur filter next to these, but I'd definitely be interested in trying that. If you're worried about quality of your water than these filters should fix your problem.

These filters fit the Aqua Optima Sirona and Juno pitchers. We have the larger pitcher, the Sirona, which is an 8 cup pitcher. We have it sitting out on our counter (we don't like very cold water) and the water we get from it tastes good, very fresh tasting.I installed the available free app (do a search for Aqua Optima - for Apple and Android). The app is simple but I'm finding it useful as it will remind me when the filter needs to be changed. There are also instructions, shown as pictures, on the steps needed to take to change the filter.Much more economical to purchase these filters in a 3 pack.

Fitting into my Aqua "Clarion" pitcher without difficulty, these filters last for 90 days each. Utilizing these filters to eliminate bacterial content essentially means that you have the benefit of bottled water without any of the problems associated with bottled water. You don't have the high cost, you don't have the absence of essential additives like fluoride, you don't have the BPA associated with the plastic bottles, and you don't have to schlep bottles of water from the grocery store. And don't forget that you can set up an iPhone app from Aqua to automatically remind you when it's time to change the filter.

We live in the desert in Southern California. Unlike our neighbors to the north, our water is hard, causes cloudy water spots on the shower tile, and it taste terrible from the tap.In the interest of helping the environment, we stopped using bottled water and now use Pur water filters and BaPa free bottles.I used this filter in our home gym. I drink 64 oz of water a day and this filter eliminates all bad tastes--it also makes the water look sparkling clear.It filters at about the same rate as our other blue Pur Filter.Would recommend.

These filters work great in my PUR filter. I have yet to notice a difference between these filters and some lower priced competitors which is why I rated it 4 stars. My tap water tastes strange before filtering and once its filtered, I notice a nice clean taste. I do not have any color issues so I can't attest to color removal nor can I see any bacteria so I have to take the word of the filter company for that. Overall, these are fine filters but I think I will stick to the cheaper version I have been buying.
