Mobile phone tuners are far better. It's overpriced , lacks pricision and only works for open strings. Absolute garbage.

No batteries came with the instrument. Doesn't work yet.

This was very easy to use for me. I have a tendency to break strings since I am new to the violin. But I find it picks up the sound better than most apps on my phone, for tuning. Even letting me know which string I am tuning specifically making it easier to find the right note. This also works for other string types like viola, cello, and bass. Would recommend.
