Fabric thinner than expected courderoy, size just a hair too small, need to return for larger size, but the giftee loves it otherwise

I'm a 5'11" fairly slim male and typically wear a medium. I ordered this jacket in a large and it was still too small. I would probably have to have got an XX-Large or XXX-Large for it to fit properly. The fabric is pretty thin and it took two and a half weeks to arrive. Shipping is about the same price as the jacket. Hopefully the return process isn't too difficult...
