Great small office printer
This has been a fantastic printer. I bought it with the wireless dongle and it was soooo easy to set up on my wireless network and doesn't require constant reactivation like the previous HP's I had. It is very fast and documents come out by the time I get to the printer. I use this in a small office environment, probably about 1000-1500 pages per month and I am still using the original cartridges after 2 months and the status says ink levels are near 100%. The printer is fairly quiet and I don't get the periodic noisy recycling of the printer that I have had with previous laser printers. I am not a quality expert but the print quality both in black and white and color exceeded my expectations. Envelopes are easy to print as we'll not a lot of guessing on how to orient or size the envelopes. I also use this for printing from my iPad and iPhone without any issues. The size is perfect for me as it fits on a shelf and is easy to access the power switch, paper drawer and very readable and simple console menus. The cartridges are expensive but if they last as long as they appear they wilI, the cost will be much less than the inkjets I've owned and less than previous lasers. I have had ZERO issues with the printer and have to give it a 5. I'll try to do an update in 6 months if I have any problems.

It's a great printer, very quiet and fast
It's a great printer, very quiet and fast. More than I probably needed for a home printer but I got it at a great price and couldn't pass it up.Print quality is very very good, and I love the built in duplexing. Set up was super easy with all of my Mac computers.

... (about 30 sheets) but the output quality is very good. Setup was trivially easy with Mavericks
I've only done a little printing with this so far (about 30 sheets) but the output quality is very good. Setup was trivially easy with Mavericks. Plain paper output is comparable to what I get from my nice inkjet photo printer on plain paper, but much faster and with less fussing and no wicking, so it does what I bought it for perfectly.

Great potential, but a magenta mess...
The printer seems to be quite the nicely designed item but it arrived with magenta toner spewed everywhere. Took the printer apart to the level I could without voiding any kind of warranty and cleaned out the magenta toner, which is probably half empty, prior to using the thing.Had to reset the firmware as the system seemed to have an issue with paper / toner sensor, but after doing that it came up and printed a test page fine. However, when I printed a whole page with red content, there was a 1/2 inch wide vertical splotching area running down the page. I will ultimately try this again to see if this was due to extra toner laying around or if there is something else wrong. Hopefully it burns that off and the printer is fine moving forward. I can definitely see its potential but feel like I got a somewhat handicapped version of it.

Bad color print quality, no wireless capability
I bought this printer to print color prints. Based on the dpi and resolution, it should be a decent printer for images. I cannot get it to print without splotches of discoloration. It'll print fine on most of the page and then in a couple random places the color is washed out. Also note, this is not a wireless setup. I went past my return date on this because I didn't realize it wasn't wireless then I was trying to figure out how to make it work with an adapter. I did find an adapter to make it wireless, but then was highly disappointed with print quality and now I can't return it :(((

Had high hopes...but they were dashed!
While easy to setup...When printing pictures each picture has "color streaks/lines". But I've had my other Lexmark for years but the replacement cost for the developer unit was $250 so I took a chance. I might sell this and go back to my old printer if I can't get a resolution. There's definitely something to be said about actually seeing the print quality in person.

It's too bad.
I suppose if the printer worked it would have met my expectations. We changed several parts on the printer before returning and it still printed with a yellow line down the center of the page. It's too bad.
