OK if Bought Cheaply!
As a fan of the later Doom games, I had already watched the previous Doom film with the Rock which is a better effort than this lame duck version. I think even Doctor Who has a bigger budget and this film's deficiencies are surely down to budget constrictions? Why Dominic Mafham, who began his career at the Royal Shakespeare Company, is involved is anyone's guess LOL. Divorce? Tax bill?UAC marines are not to be tough soldiers but I wasn't convinced any of them were, the Captain didn't convince me, he came across as an estate agent. The 'special' effects were not special and as others have said, we got extras with painted faces & long nails (zombies) & extras in rubber suits playing Imps. I've played Doom 3 and it's properly scary in places and you feel a sense of menace & foreboding, this film lacked scariness and tension. Perhaps those who made this film should have played Doom 3 first?

Actually pretty good.
This movie was slated for its wooden acting and B movie plot which offers nothing new. These are true to a point but if you have actually played the game there are a huge number or head nods that make it actually enjoyable enough. The cgi effects are pretty good and the end scenes are excellent, I would liked to have seen some special features on the Blu-ray to be honest as the vanilla version seems lacking.Worth a pun for Doom-heads and sci-fi fans alike.

Not Doomed
'Doom: Annihilation' is a sci-fi horror based on the video game in which is group of soldiers arrive at a Mar's science building only to find out everyone has been turned into flesh-eating zombies by aliens escaped from a teleportal. For a straight-to-video release this was much better than one would expect and was done on quite a high budget. The production design looked creepy and very advanced, and the zombies and aliens looked very good (although some of the CGI looked a little false). The film is a mixture of 'Resident Evil' and 'Alien' and has plenty of gore, action and tension as you would expect from a video game adaption. However, the storyline was fairly bland as not too much seems to happen. Also I am not sure if the characters worked well enough in this type of story.

Aliens
It was a good decent film, as a follow on to DOOM, it went into Sci-Fi with the gateways to different places, like different Moons and planets, I watched it, good shoot em up film.

Not a big budget movie, but packed with DOOM action
Not a bad film. You can tell it's a straight to video B movie by the visuals and acting and you can tell the people behind it really are DOOM fans and did their best. I highly enjoyed it, thought it was a wee bit more enjoyable than the 2005 movie but that's probably cos I've seen that one a million times. I'm a DOOM fan, I loved it, if you're not a DOOM fan I recommend giving it a spin.

Arrived early , Blu-ray DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 ,No Extra's, DOOM ANNIHILATION is a fun Shoot them up ride , with a few groovy Special effects with the soul stealing demons from Hell gateway, not hardcore as the first film but a fun watch 😁

cheap film, cheap price but fun to watch.
Watched this one night with a glass of scotch. Ok, it's not Shakespeare, but still fun to watch. Rubber costumed monsters are reminiscent of the old 50's sci film films and actors looking like zombies are a bit of a cop out. But to while away some time, well I've seen worse. It may be low budget but hey, it's a fiver. So don't complain.
