Ruined a Good Thing
I actually have a monthly subscription to this apple crisp oatmeal. It has been my favorite cereal until recently when the company changed it. Each cup used to have 10 to 15 nice size pieces of walnuts bursting with flavor. As of May 2018, they now put 200 tiny crushed rock hard pieces of walnut. It's like chewing sand. Not only do these tiny chips not have any flavor, but they get stuck in my teeth. Why did they have to ruin a good thing? Regretfully, I will have to cancel my monthly subscription.

Not Just For Breakfast Anymore!
How I found this brand, and more specifically this flavor, is a long winding story. Suffice it to say, I was wicked happy when I typed it into the search engine here at Amazon & came up with a bingo! We do purchase more than one flavor, but the addiction that spread through our families, and the ways I have found to use this, all started with Apple Crisp. It tastes great! The dehydrated apple pieces that get plumped and tendered when cooked, along with the little sprinkle of white chocolate chips takes the tried and true brown sugar cinnamon flavored pre-packaged oatmeal to a whole other level. (Something I find true in pretty much all the flavors)Built in recyclable bowl! HUGE plus, right? Super easy to heat extra water in my teapot in the morning, 3 minutes and breakfast is served! Brunch or a snack is served, or sprinkled on yogurt for lunch is served. Sprinkled on the most decadent ice cream you can find is served. And here is my big favorite: Three or four apples of your choice..I buy four different apples...cored, peeled and sliced, mix in a bowl prepared with your personal favorite combo of brown sugar, cinnamon, and a thickening agent of choice. Throw it in ramekins or an 8x8 glass square baking dish. For the top, I use 1/2 Cup each flour and dark brown sugar, with a half teaspoon of baking soda, Add one cup of this, stir it up and then spoon it all over the top of the apples. Some folks like to add butter t

Premium Portable Oats - PB & J
PACKAGINGIndividual Product is well packaged in a highly recyclable paper cup. The fairly sturdy (for a disposable item) clear lid allows you to see whats inside and monitor 'cooking'. The shipping box was adequate, but could've used some cushioning material.TASTE & TEXTUREThe taste is appropriately peanutty, somewhat salty and slightly sweet. There is added sugar in the form of cane sugar (no HFCS or other icky sweeteners, artificial or otherwise), but this not a hypersweetened "kids" type product (though I'm sure kids would love it). The strawberries rehydrate nicely and provide some sweetness and some tart zing as a pleasant contrast to the peanut flavor. No, it doesn't taste just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but the flavor is fun and satisfying. The oats cook up nice and smooth, and the crunchy whole peanuts and sliced strawberries add textural interest. This product is intended to be made with hot/boiling water and not microwaved. As with all oatmeal you can get your desired consistency by adjusting the amount of hot water you add. It took only a few tries to find my 'just right' amount of water.FILLING?I am a grown man with a healthy appetite, and these oats never fail to tide me over until lunch.INGREDIENTSThe ingredients are all pronounceable and recognizable as food. Things you may actually have in your home. Phenomenal. They don't really make any health claims, sticking with 'all natural' which I would not disagree with on the basis of the extremely short ingredient list.PRODUCT STATS- Made in the USA- 3.7oz dry weight (unprepared)- 440 Calories - 8g Fiber - 12g Protein - 66g Carbohydrate- Contains: Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Milk, SoyIT'S FOR YOU IF...- You love peanuts/peanut butter- You prefer products with ingredients you don't need to look up on wikipedia- Want gourmet oatmeal on the goTHINK TWICE IF...- You are especially cost conscious. The quality of ingredients and flavor is top notch but the unit price is on the high side, though if you regularly purchase yourself a drive-thru type breakfast this should be a lower cost alternative and is likely healthier.

Five Stars
i Really like this oatmeal and I am GF, so this packageing is easy to grab and go. After reading the reviews I wanted to share my thoughts. This oatmeal has whole peanuts and peanut butter chips, giving this product an extra crunch and sweetness that I enjoy. The oats are large and filling so it sticks with me until lunch time. I don’t think it is too sweet, in fact package oatmeal is much sweeter and normally has quick oats. I will definitely buy this again. Amazon pricing is the same as our local store. Hope this helps.

No more pretty large freeze dried slices of strawberries
I used to love this PB & J oatmeal which came with pretty large slices of freeze-dried strawberries! How awesome was that?! The whole thing with the peanut butter chips was just so great. I bought 12 on Amazon after no grocery store carried it anymore. Now it's just pieces the size of a pencil head. You couldn't really even taste the strawberry anymore. So dissatisfied 😥. Disappointing.

Not a lot of banana flavor?
I have tried about 5 flavors of this brand and the blueberry is far and away my favorite one. Each flavor is super easy to make (I use the middle setting on my Keurig Machine) and is hearty with quality ingredients. I have had three servings of this Banana bread flavor is far and maybe it is just the batch I got (best by date is 12/31/2015) but I don't detect any banana flavor. I love the Quaker version so much that I thought that Straw Propeller would really be awesome, but unfortunately it came up short.

The recipe has changed
I ordered multiple cases of this oatmeal. I thought I was getting the one as picture with white chocolate chips and walnuts. There are no walnuts and no white chocolate chips. I might as well have bought Quaker Oats Apples and Cinnamon oatmeal.

Healthy, quick and easy
I love having these on hand because they’re delicious - sweeten with maple syrup. I make it with what are almond milk and add walnuts and raisins
