So I have had this for a couple of years now and thought the remote sucked because we would have to get up real close to the unit to maybe get it to change ports..UGH! Turns out it was USER ERROR. the remote works just fine. We don't switch things all that much but when we do, we, like many people who have complained about the remote on this unit being junk would get frustrated.With the dumb writers strike going on, regular OTA TV choices are getting slim. We have found ourselves going to Roku or Firestick more often and thus getting frustrated with this weak remote.... So last night I told the wife I had had it and I was going to buy a better hdmi switch. I looked up my original purchase and read reviews and several people were complaining about the weak remote.... I got to thinking I wonder if there is some protective plastic cover the IR beam on the remote...or maybe it is dirty...took a look , not plastic and clean....Hmmm? Decided to take a look at the actual switch box and low and behold the little IR receiver and the port indicator numbers had a thin piece of clear plastic protector covering them...peeled it off Shazam! The remote works perfectly from 8 feet away. As Homer Simpson says Doooof!

Reviews stated that people weren’t getting picture. Basically I replaced the power supply and the cord as soon as I got the unit so I would have no power issue with that. I plugged it in using my fire stick my Xbox one my computer my Nintendo switch and my PS4 and have never had a problem using auto switching. It just takes a few moments to change to the input and then to adjust the video signal to the picture quality of the tv/monitor that it’s plugged into up to 1080p as that is what I use but my pc can switch it between 720 and 1080. The remote control is pretty easy to use but only works at a very narrow angle. The remote control is probably my biggest pet peeve about the system, other than that it works great if you put a new power supply and power cord on it instead of the junk one you get with it. It should treat you well.

Great little switcher for the price. I have a switch, Blu-ray player, ps4, and Apple TV box hooked up. There is a 2-3 second delay when switching sources but that is not bad.I have 2 small issues with it so far1. The remote doesn’t respond sometimes. I have held the remote about a foot away and had to push the desired source button 3-5 times for it to switch. I have never been able to use the remote farther than about a foot away. It’s not a deal breaker since you can cycle through the sources using the button on top of the switch.2. Several times, it has switched to a different source without any prompting. I confirmed the other sources did not have the hdmi communication features enabled and were powered off. Every time it happened, I was on the Apple TV (source 2) and it would switch to source 1 randomly (switch one time, and nothing when it happened the other 2-3 times).These issues are small and should not stop you from picking this device up.I have not tested the 3D capabilities yet so it didn’t seem to have an issue connecting to the Blu-ray player.

I have purchased several of these for around the house and they all are working perfectly. Super great for mounted TVs. You only have to run one hdmi cord through the wall to your tv!The picture quality seems unchanged from plugging in hdmi cables directly to the tv which is good.The little controller included is a nice touch. While it’s not the most quality controller I’ve ever seen, it gets the job done. I found that you have to press the buttons several times for it to respond. Maybe I’m not pointing it directly at the receiver on the box accurately enough.I am happy with this product and would definitely recommend it to others.

I have a Samsung TV with only 3 HDMI ports, and this looked like the perfect solution to be able to hook up all of my gadgets. I've been using the box for a few months now, and these are my observations:1) Excellent design. The box is small and relatively easy to understand. There is little space in between the HDMI ports for anything larger than just the typical HDMI input, so things like the Amazon Firestick or Google Chrome start to feel bunched up.2) Remote is finicky. It works, but sometimes you have to hit the button multiple times before it switches to the correct HDMI port.3) Inconsistently shows picture on the screen. This is my main gripe with the box, and why I left 1 star for picture quality. My PS5, Firestick, Google Chrome, Nintendo Switch, and Xfinity are the products I have routed through this box. There are times when I'll turn on my PS5, and the screen flashes multiple times before the PS5 picture shows up on the screen. Okay, cool. Fine. It showed up, at least. Then there are times where I'll turn off my PS5, then switch back to my Firestick, and the Firestick doesn't show up at all. Weird. I'll turn the box off and on, still nothing. I'll reset the Firestick, still nothing. Turn the TV off and on. Nothing. Turn the PS5 back on, switch to that input on the box, and nothing. But I can hear the PS5 log-in sounds. So something is up with the picture working correctly on this box. It's just really inconsistent, and there will be a few days where I'll have no issues, and then suddenly I'll have issues like what I've described.I want to love this product, because I think it solves a common issue a lot of us have with our TV's not having enough ports for all of our devices, but the inconsistency of this box working properly makes me question if it's worth it.
