Great little torch
This is a great little torch that is well made. The keyring that comes with it is good quality and the little rubber defuser that sits on top is handy for lighting a small area. Uses AAA batteries that are cheap and easy to come by.

Perfect keyring torch
This is the second one I have purchased, the first is still going strong after three years, battery lasts a long long time; it is waterproof and does withstand heafty bangs, you get two spare seals but I havent needed one yet.The mini carabiner is flimsy, chuck it and fit it directly onto a ring, the size works well for my keyring and the bright setting is very bright. My wife got tired of borrowing it hence the second purchase.

Small and handy
This is a handy little keyring torch. It’s fairly bright and easy to use, not least because you have to screw its head tight to switch it on, rather than just press a button - which means that unlike button equipped torches, there’s no danger of the torch accidentally switching on in your pocket without you noticing and draining the battery. As unexpected bonus is that the protective cap that you pull off to use the torch is luminous, so if you switch the torch on before removing the cap, if you drop the cap in the dark it’s very easy to find it again. Clever!

It is OK but nothing special at the price.
GOOD:1. Lovely smooth spread of light without hotspots.2. Decent value for money; it seems well made but some other reviews cast doubt on longevity.3. Battery powered instead of the current trend for rechargeable torches. That makes it ideal for emergency use tucked away in a back-pack, glovebox, etc. Rechargeable torches are no good for that and sadly most well-known brands seem to have deserted the battery-powered torch market.4. Light output is perfect for a small torch. Even though I live in the countryside with zero lighting, I very rarely need anything brighter.NOT SO GOOD:A. The ribbed shaping is poor in my dry hands, I find it less grippy than traditional knurling and it slips from my fingers.B. The twist-head is looser than I would like and does not inspire confidence that it will twist itself off.C. The power sequence: LOW/HIGH/MEDIUM is very annoying. I never know what power I will get each time I turn it on.D. The glow-in-the-dark diffuser is a gimmick with almost no use. It does not glow long enough to be useful but it does make the already smooth beam even smoother which may be useful for reading (not tried).E. Nothing else really but it does not stand up well against other well known brands, e.g. Fenix, Olight, Nitecore etc.SUMMARY:It is OK for a rarely used torch. I expect it to work in 2 years time abandoned in the bottom of my camera-bag. For daily use though, I think I would end up hating it. It is not good enough.Only Fenix now make a direct competitor for this AAA Lumitop. Frankly, I wish I had spent a couple of pounds mote and bought a Fenix EO1.If you intend to use this torch daily, then I would not recommend it. A rechargeable would be a better choice and you can buy them for the same price. I would however spend almost twice as much and get the Nitecore Tiki GITD which to my mind is better in every way. Lighter, more powerful, dual use, glow-in-the-dark body (limited length glow again), UV built-in and it only costs about £0.01 per year to run.

Great little torch
Lightweight, easy to use, extremely bright with 3 brightness modes with a twist of your fingers, glow in the dark cap is a brilliant little feature and is very bright for a long time after too. Recommend it for anything!

An absolutely brilliant little torch, the perfect size and brightness to keep in your pocket and EDC everyday for those unexpected times where you need an extra bit of illumination! The AAA battery is the perfect choice and comprise between power, size and availability. The 3 power modes make it perfect for a discreet little light in a small area or to light up a much larger space, you’ll never flood a field with it but it will help you with those little jobs now autumn nights are on their way.
