I bought size small and it is very snug. I can walk better with it on. Seems to be of good quality

Provides excellent lateral support. A little tight to get on the first few times but no issue now. Replaced an older McDavid brace of the same size.

Let me first note that I have listed the sizes of this brace below as they are not given in the Amazon product details. Correct sizing is very important for this product! I have torn a torn menicus in both knees and arthritis that causes pain in my posterior cruiate ligaments. I work on my feet all day as a meat cutter and usually do fine with Futuro wrap-around braces. During busy holiday times, it is common for me to work 12+ hour days, and the Futuro product doesn't provide enough support for that extended period of time. The support from this brace is so good that from the moment I put it on, the pain is gone - completely. Why, then, only 4 stars? Because the brace cannot be worn for a full day. The package states that it should not be worn for more than 2-3 hours. I have worn it for as long as 6 hours, but by that time I'm experiencing weakness in the back of my leg and numbness in my toes. My solution has been to start my day with this brace and then, after about 4 hours, switch to the Futuro brace. The brace runs larger than other braces with the same size designations (e.g., size Large for this brace is any other company's size X-Large). You definitely need to measure your knee circumference before ordering this brace. The size designations are as follows: (Knee Circumference followed by size) 12 - 14", Small 14 - 16", Medium 15 - 17", Large 17 - 20", X-Large 19 - 22", XX-Large My knee measures 17", and because there is no size overlap at that measurement, I ordered an XL. When I got it, the top of the brace was too large around my thigh, so it folded over itself when I would tighten the strap. I had to return it for a Large which just fits. It fits tightly enough, in fact, that I don't even need to tighten the straps. I would liked to have seen the Large at 15 - 18". Perhaps then I wouldn't experience the circulation restriction that seems to occur. If the brace were such that I could wear it all day, I would have certainly have given it 5 Stars.

I don't know what any of the less then 5 star reviews received but this is obvious in the photo that it does not open up. I measured my knee and ordered accordingly- Perfect fit. Tore ACL and Meniscus Tuesday night working out. Had a less supportive brace until this arrived Friday and was extremely unstable. Remained as active as possible after injury to maintain flexibility so no crutches. Once I put this on tonight it was amazing. In fact you have to be careful that you do not get over confident due to the support. Some reviews stated the brace did not prevent hyper-extension ... False! The hinges lock in the forward/straight leg position. This is an amazing brace that allows straight forward mobility. Will be able to get back to working out and maintain muscle size and flexibility until I can receive surgery. To top it off, the price is excellent. I am amazed how great I feel. Overall they work pretty well, but the sizing chart is off. It has you measure around your knee so that is what I did. I'm right at 15 inches which is the high end of a Medium and low end of a Large. I ordered the Medium. I couldn't get it over my calf. No big deal, I had erred on the side of caution and ordered the Medium to make sure it wouldn't be too lose. I returned it and went up a size to a Large. I received the Large and I can just barely get my leg into it. It is tight over my calf and very tight over my thigh. I have the Velcro adjustment straps completely disengaged/hanging loose and it fits securely. If there is any moisture on my skin (it makes me sweat) there is a battle to remove it. It works well for me now However, the measurements had me between a medium - large and the large just barely fits. I would imagine that someone built similarly to myself with a 16 or 17 inch knee would not be able to get the Large above their calf. If you have decently sized calf and thigh muscles, you might need to bump up a size.

Got it size S at $19. Good support for knee pain. I ordered it shipped to Thailand with free delivery. Only charge for the taxes. Not a bad price at all. I ‘m in 40s but I had knee pain from too frequently squad. Mcdavid level3 does help stabilized and supported my knee during bending knees to climb up and down stair. The only drawback was it was hard to pull up to wear and pull down to take it off.

I bought the XL, even though my measurements said I needed a Large. It was very tight! The metal hinge ends were painful so I removed them. I wore it for about 3 hours and panicked when I tried to remove it. I would not come off. My wife helped me slowly pull it off. I was ready to get a knife and cut it off. I will not put it on again!

Very comfortable to wear and provides fantastic knee support and prevention from hyper extension. Expensive, but definitely worth it. Unfortunately will be getting another one for my other knee.

love this knee brace! it helps so much. Both my husband and I use this knee brace, it is great for walking and running. it does not slip down and i love that it actually has a very durable high functioning hinge, since i have bought a lot of braces over the years i have to say this is my favorite one for sure. my husband also has said that we need to buy another one. Make sure to measure your leg though because at first we bought a medium thinking it would fit but had to return it and get a large.
