Does what it says on the tin...
This endoscope is amazing value for money, not only does it allow me to inspect various hard to reach locations but it makes this really easy and stress free for the following personal highlights of mine: - easy to set up smartphone app - The app has a button to rotate the image, so you’ll always be looking correctly - The image quality is awesome and the built in light further enhances the image in low light conditions - It has the simple ability to zoom in and out via the controls - The cable is the right level of flexibility and firmness in order to accurately reach and position - The attachments are very useful, especially the magnetic option - I haven’t had the opportunity to test the waterproof feature yet but knowing this a feature is definitely a positive! If you’re looking for a well equipped and quality endoscope, then I can highly recommend this!

Works, but not as useful as I thought
This is a FIXED FOCUS camera. It focuses on exactly 10-12cm in front. At that precise distance, everything is chrystal clear and sharp. Any further away or any closer, things start to look softer in focus. Also, in practice I find, you really have to understand what you are looking for. If you simply poke the camera into an unknown void just for fun, it's not easy to work out what you are looking at, and to orientate yourself. They give you a very long length of camera cable. I doubt that many people would use much of that length. Even using just 1 metre of cable, you can't really control where you are poking the camera. The camera connects to your own device (iPhone, Android, laptop etc) via Wi-Fi. That's not via your home router, but direct. You have to tell your own device not to connect to your own router, but to "Jetion_******" instead and the default password is 12345678. You can change these things, but the instructions advice that the system is more stable if you don't. (What kind of system is that!!!) To get started, you need to download a free App called DEPSTECH from either Google Play or the App Store depending on your device. You also need to plug the endoscope into a USB port and charge it for a couple of hours. The APP works fine for simply viewing the action in real time on your device. I've not managed to record a video yet, I have taken still photographs. The photos end up on your iPhone or other device. The software is adequate, but a bit flaky. Finally, the advert says that the camera is waterproof to IP67 standard. When you actually get the camera, the instructions clarify that this means no deeper than 1 Metre, and then only for several minutes.

Great wee camera
This is my second Desptech camera. I upgraded to this one and it was well worth it. I'm a Pest Control Technician and this wee camera has proved invaluable as an added tool in my job. It's great for locating internal wasp nests (customers love the footage) it's also great for locating hard to see rodent points of entry. Picture is very clear and the zoom function is great. Easy to set up and use. I would strongly recommend this camera.

Great camera, great company
As you can see in my video, this product allowed me to discover that I have badly filled cavity walls, which may explain the damp on the other side. This video was taken going down air brick holes and I did it elsewhere in the home too, as well as getting under the floorboards and into cavities themselves. I actuary bought it to get into a studded wall but haven't done that yet but am confident it will work brilliantly. Could the light be brighter? Perhaps. Could image quality be higher? On a £200 product perhaps but you get a superb borescope for hardly any money, plus a great company to buy from, which is unlike most Amazon sellers. See below. First camera did have an issue where I couldn't find the WiFi. I did everything I could. My partner sent a message to the seller on Sunday morning and by Monday, they'd replied. Even apologising for being late. They weren't. It's Sunday! A replacement was sent and it works perfectly, as you can see. Plus set up was instantaneous. Buy from this company with confidence that they're putting titing customers first and spend a little more (I paid just under £36 and deals pop up all the time) on something which works properly, rather than something which may do a job but not really the job you need. Btw, other things I've found because of this. Poorly fitted pipework and taps, rot in a timber (sigh), change in brick structure, my house has 1920s construction...... I've only had it a day! I will be seeking out their upgrades to the cameras because at this price, they're cornering a market and doing a wonderful job at it. Not sure if I can post any more videos but if I can and you want to see something, I'm happy to do it as they did right by me, so I'm happy to do right by them.

Generally pretty good but could be improved.
Mostly the picture quality was good but when using behind the dashboard of my Renault Megane where lighting was poor the built in LED did not necessarily lead to a good picture . Some times good but more than occasonally poor with difficulty making out objects clearly or at all. I would qualify my comments by pointing out I have not used the Depstech more than half a dozen times so there may be some element of me getting used to it. I find the cable a little too stiff On the plus side it is far better than cheaper alternatives overall and the mobile App is easy to use. I would like to see a more powerful LED array for better lighting and the cables fitted with connectors - for some jobs the 5 metre cable is unwieldy. Also a damaged cable/camera is going to necessitate return to the manufacturer whilst under warranty for replacement. A cable detachable at the electronics module makes more sense and wouldn't affect the IP rating. I actually bought this for my work as an electrical contractor but have yet to use it but when I do i think it will be a tougher test than when using on a car..
