This was fine, it sticks, what else could you ask for? Good product.

I've been digitizing some very old recordings from the 50's and 60's, and most of the original splices have dried out.I'm also working on some "newer" ones from the 70's and 80's. Some of these were recorded on back-coated tape, which requires a special type of splicing tape. Most of these splices have also dried out.I still have some splicing tape for the back-coated variety, but it will not adhere to the older recordings.Fortunately, I was able to use the TME Green Core tape on both types of tape with no issues. It does seem to be slightly thicker than the original versions, but this did not cause any problems.Hopefully, the digital versions of these recordings will be around for a long time, but you never know. If these reels ever see the light of day again in a few decades, that'll be the ultimate test of this product's archival purpose. But for now, it's a great tape that will work with either type of recording tape, and that's something in itself.

Dug out over 120 8trk cartridges from storage and was about to throw them out. Sensor tape adhesive on all of them dried causing tape loop to separate, Foam cushion in cartridges turned to powder when touched. The OCD in me - ended up opening each cartridge and did repair with this sensor tape and blue splicing tape on the back side for added strength. Radio Shack car 8trk player stored with these tapes still works. Music quality is poor compare to digital now. It was an interesting exercise - probably going to put stuff back in storage.

"Found" a bunch of old reel to reel tapes and have been going through them to see what is on each one. Naturally, ALL of the old splice tape had deteriorated. Was very happy to find this product on Amazon, ordered it, and it works exactly as it should in re-splicing the tape. Cost is very reasonable, and arrived in a timely manner. Very pleased with this purchase!!!

Splicing with a block works well. Only time will tell how long the adhesive will last but doing well so far.

This is good splicing tape! I am very happy with it.I do think it is a bit overpriced. Eighty two feet is a fair amount but should not cost quite that much.Seller shipped quickly.

I have not had a need to use it yet, but looks like it will do the trick. Purchased mainly to repair broken tapes.

Thicker than expected but it works.

With reel to reel tape now being a niche market for recording and playback of commercial music reels, there is very little support for things which are vital for continuing to use the format. Having used my last spool of splicing tape I was very surprised to find virtually no one selling it anymore. So if you need it, you have to pay the price.

Used it to splice some leaders onto some of my 1/4" open reel recording tapes, on which the original splicing tape had dried out and failed. This new splicing tape worked very nicely, and easy to apply. As this is the first time I'm using this product, I can't comment on its longevity, but is appeared to grip the ends of the leader and recording tape firmly and smoothly, suggesting the attachment should last for decades, as did the original splicing tape that came with my tapes over 50 years ago!! And yes - the recordings on these tapes still sound great, with minimal if any shedding of the recording oxide! It would also be great if this tape included some kind of easy to use dispenser, like the common Scotch tape dispensers. Otherwise, a very satisfactory product!

It works well, seems about the same as my last splicing tape that I bought about 50 years ago, spliced many broken tapes, and none of those splices have failed over the years. It is long enough to last me for the rest of my life.
