A great ukulele for beginners and pros alike!
This is a great beginner uke! I received it about a week ago and I just can't stop playing. The bridge holds the strings in place well and the intonation is in good tuning (I've heard that since the makala line is so inexpensive, the intonation can be wrong), and it has overall good build quality. It won't take you to the ends of the earth but it's great for travel and jam sessions with the band.My only real grip about this ukukele is that the tuning machines are a bit loose, so the strings slack down very easily. Nothing a few seconds with a flathead screwdriver can't fix. Make sure to buy new strings when you order this, because it comes with very cheap placeholder strings. I'm currently waiting for my Aquila strings to come in the mail, but I found some good, cheap strings at the local music shop.

Fun Purchase
This is a fun beginner ukulele. Love the red finish and the tone is surprisingly good for the price. For the first few times it would go out of tune very quickly but the more I play it, the tune stays intact better. I will probably change the strings down the road once I learn a few more songs. Great seller too as I received the shipment on time and the instrument intact.

A Good Purchase for a Total Beginner
This is my first foray into the wonderful world of ukulele playing, and I'm overall pretty happy with it. As a complete beginner, I was looking for an inexpensive, but decent quality instrument, and I believe I got that. It came strung with Aquila strings, so my additional purchase of strings was unnecessary. Still, it's good to have back ups. The main issue I have with this is that the little cream colored buttons over the tuning pegs are not fastened to the headstock so that rattle incessantly when playing. I'll be gluing them down presently to take care of that problem. Seems like a really silly thing to let slip by in manufacturing, but it's just a small nuisance. Overall, this is really cute. I adore dolphins, so naturally that was my reason for purchasing this particular style of uke. And I love the colors, the size, and the quality for what I needed. Really happy with this.

Love this Uke.
This is my second Uke. I had to jump on this when I saw a price drop and I'm so very glad I did. Compared to my Bugs Gear Ukulele this is so much richer sounding and easier playing. I still love my Bugs Gear, but this is my favorite Ukulele now. I love buying low cost instruments because they're usually so much fun with only a small investment. Searching for Ukuleles I spent a LOT of time on youtube trying to find instruments around or below $30. This one although one I wanted was always just ten or twenty dollars above that and so I kept passing it by. But as soon as I saw this for $20 my heart skipped a beat and I snatched it up before the seller could raise the price again. I bought a purple one for my daughter's birthday and it made me so jealous (price wasn't a consideration when I got hers for $50). I always wanted a yellow one for myself, but beggars can't be choosers. Red has grown on me.

Fantastic sound for a fantastic price
Picked this up as a beginner Uke, and couldn't be happier. I would not have guessed that such a cheap, touristy-looking instrument would actually be any good, but the reviews were solid, so I took the plunge.A few other reviews mention it, and I'll restate it - it absolutely needs new strings; the ones it comes with are junk. I'm using a set of color Strings by Aurora on mine, which really take the garish color to a new level - a tacky level that I absolutely love. Before these, I also briefly used a set of Aquila's, which were honestly even better. So, in short, the Dolphin is a surprisingly fantastic Uke, and there are few others at this price point that can produce a better sound. Would highly recommend.

Bello da vedere, divertente da suonare.
Arrivato dall'Inghilterra in soli tre giorni! Bello, bellissimo il colore, con utilizzo giornaliero tiene bene l'accordatura. Felice sorpresa: corde aquila! Buona la qualità del suono. Divertente, consigliato a tutti coloro che si accostano allo studio di questo favoloso strumento!

Great
Great ukulele - plays very well and has good tone and feel. Given the price, can only recommend.Strings do need regular adjusting for the first two weeks, but this settles after a short while.

Brilliant.
Bought it for my 6 year old granddaughter and, basically, for the price, it does everything she needs it for. The intonation's not perfect, and the action could probably be a bit lower, but a 6 year old's not bothered about stuff like that. It looks fantastic and, with it having a polycarbonate body, it's as tough as old boots. It stays in tune and is a "proper" uke and definitely not a toy. One point though, like any cheap uke, change the strings as soon as you get it. I changed it to Aquila strings and it really does sound fantastic.

... excited to receive my Uke and I am very happy with it put because it was purchased outside US ...
I was quite excited to receive my Uke and I am very happy with it put because it was purchased outside US I understand it is not covered by warranty. Also the carry bag was very flimsy and of poor quality.
