Works well with GE's older switches! responds quickly and easy to install

This aux add on simplifies the 3 way smart switch configuration. I have Inovelli switches and you csn use the old slave dumb switch with it. However with all the variants of 3 way wiring configurations I only got the dumb switch to work 1 out of 4 times. Not very good hit rate. I chalked it up to not knowing exactly which 3 way wiring configuration I had in order to wire the dumb switch properly. I finally dumped that and got this aux switch and it works every time and it's the same wiring configuration for me. One I identify the main master switch, the hot line on master, and the load line on the slave, it's fairly easy. Plus this aux switch has the same click feel as my dimmer inovelli smart switch and had added benefit of being able to use the inovelli disable local control at the slave switch. If you have inovli switches and want to use local control disablement you need this, it will not work with a dumb switch (tried it). Long story short, this is a good switch and I'm getting more.

This review is for the Add-On Switch, which works as a "slave" in a 3-way setup with a second Enbrighten switch, which works as the "master." I found it easy to install myself and works like a charm. A few notes: The "master" switch must receive power from the breaker panel. So, you need a tester to ensure you know which switch is receiving power from the breaker. I have two of these 3-way setups at my house and in both cases it was the switch farthest away from the breaker that was receiving power from the breaker, and hence the master switch must go there. The add-on switch is installed in the secondary switch location. The master switch is also the switch that you'll add to your smart home setup. I'm using SmartThings, and adding the master switch was as easy as scanning the QR code. No need to do it again with the add-on switch. The dimmer control is nice: just hold the up or down paddle for a moment and the light will dim. Of course, you can also ask Alexa to dim the lights.

Great add-on switch, I even found that it was recommended for other light brands. Super easy to install, once you understand the principle. This switch uses the red wire (always hot) as a low-voltage messenger to the main switch letting it know that it was pushed. The main switch is the one that actually turns the lights on and off. DON'T connect a full 110v line to this switch, do these switch(es) after you have confirmed that the main switch works. There are several videos explaining all this and showing you how to install them online. This doesn't integrate directly with Alexa, you need a Z-Wave or Zigbee Hub. That being said, almost all of the hubs now integrate seamlessly with Alexa.

I used this as an extension/remote for a Inovelli Matter switch. Works without issues. I wasn't able to get a standard switch working despite trying various wiring combinations and settings. I believe the firmware was updated on the Inovelli White switches since then and might have better settings now that could work with traditional switches. This was a fairly low cost option to solve my problem and dimmer seems to work as well.

This Enbrighten Ad-on switch is very useful if you would like to control your smart switches from multiple locations. The QuickFit design makes it easier to get it installed because it's 20% smaller and there are not any annoying break-off tabs like the older models. 1. INSTALLATION - it's very important to note that you MUST have a Neutral cable in your electrical box for this Ad-on switch to work, otherwise it will not work. The package comes with detailed instructions in english and Spanish so make sure you follow along. I'm not an electrician but I've switched plenty of switches in the past so I didn't find it difficult to install, but your mileage may vary. 2. COMPATIBILITY - I've only used this switch with GE/Enbrighen switches, but you can use this ad-on switch to compliment another Enbrighen/GE Zigbee, Z-wave or Wi-fi switch. This Ad-on switch will not work by itself so you have to use another main switch. 3. USABILITY - Use this switch to control Smart Lights, Ceiling Fans or Pumps. It's a toggle switch, so you gently press it once to either turn on/off the lights and keep the toggle pressed to dim/brighten the lights. I use SmartThings to control my main switch and it works perfectly fine, so as long as your Main switch is paired with a hub, then you should not have to do any additional configuration for the Ad-on switch.

This product has a misleading description. It is not compatible with Zigbee or Z-wave or some of the other protocols. It is only compatible with the main switch. That main switch may be Zigbee or something else. Don't buy this unless you either already have or are purchasing the master switch, which cost about $45. I don't feel bad about sending these back. I did a search for Zigbee and I also checked the Zigbee box, and this stayed there. If they want to pay to force this on us, then they can eat the return costs for their misleading practices.

Easy installation. You may need to connect the neutral/ white jumper to get the switch to work. Adding to the Smart Things app was easy, too. Took, 15 minutes at the most.

This thing cannot join the wifi with a pass phrase containing space nor with qr code. Does not work, poor instructions and i want to be reimbursed asap.
