Effective and no skin reactions
I used a different type of product for about 5 weeks prior to this one that had 2% hydroquinone and 10% glycolic acid. That product did lighten my dark spots, but also caused very significant rosacea breakouts. I switched to this one and have been very happy with the results. It’s hard to tell how much skin lightening it has done given the first product I used was successful in lightening the dark spots, but this product isn’t causing breakouts and my skin tone remains improved.

Packaging...
I like this product. BUT, the packaging is absolutely horrible. This product screams for a tube similar to the tube Carmex uses for example. It needs to come to a small point and a cap that actually does seal. The cap on the Alpha Arbutin tube makes it difficult to eject only what is needed. And, the cap is leaky. The cap is always full of the product, which is forced into the threads when screwed closed. Please put this product in a sensible tube!

This is been an important addition to my skin care routine. A great alternative to hydroquinone, which I have used for years. However this does not do that atrocious bounce back paradoxically hyperpigmentation. In other words, the spots don't come back. I'm so glad that science and mainstream skin care have evolved and come together, making products like these much more accessible and affordable to folks like me

Oxidized product
Like many of the reviews, I received this product and it was liquefied and brown. I tried to contact Inkey List as it redirected me to their site and the chat option didn’t even work. It’s not available anywhere near me, so I guess I will be purchasing from another company.

Half empty bottle?
I wish the bottle came full. Good product but was less than half empty when I received it. I'm not sure if that is normal.

Inkey List products are amazingly good.
It didn't help to even my skin tone and hyperpigmentation. Alpha Arbutin is known and has worked for others, but not for me. My comment shouldn't discourage anyone from trying it, especially since you can't beat the price.
