Effective, great start
Gets you within a few inches, I used it to aim at something about 20 yards away. I marked the back with a marker and rotated it, and looked through a scope a few times and it only moved 2-3 inches at the most. For $10 this is great value

Get on paper
So first off let me start by saying these aren’t meant to actually zero your firearm. They just make the sights and bore line up a lot closer before you start actually zeroing to save you some time. Never used one of these besides the army. Which we used in basic to make sure privates that never shot anything in their entire life didn’t take 5 hours trying to just get on paper. Anyhow, the quality was actually surprising. It feels like it’s made well and has a good weight to it. Bolt won’t close completely but it’s close enough, not meant for a perfect zero anyway. And the light is bright and pretty clear. Only real downside is there isn’t a on/off button so you have to remove the batteries and not lose them for next time but at the same time it’s supposed to be a snug fit into the bore to ensure it’s a close to the boresight that it can get so idk where they would put a power button. Does what it’s supposed to do which isn’t a dead on zero. As long as you know that, this will save you range time after putting on new sights.

Loose in the barrel
Good enough to get you close but not perfect. As others have said not a tight fit in the barrel, it’ll sit a little different every time you put it in, but it’s not complete garbage, it’ll get you close enough to finish sighting without it.

Perfect for AK or SKS!

So the body and battery cap all seem to be well built and actually fit the extractor on my BCA AR15 762x39 bolt face. However, it is not head spaced properly for an AR or an AK as I tested the headspace on my friends AK with this item. Once I chambered the item, without the magazine and riding the bolt forward gently, I got a clean bright laser that looked somewhat serviceable to help zero a red dot or holographic sight at 20 yards. I removed the item, checked to make sure my chamber was clean and clear of obstructions, then re inserted the item and gently let the bolt down onto it. Now the laser had a different point of aim. I short stroked the bolt letting the extractor grab it and reseat it, and the point of aim had changed again. Removed the item, tested it in an AK with new batteries and no laser at all. The light was on inside of the device, we could see the red glowing inside the front lense, but the laser pointer inside had been shifting around and going off course. After chambering it a few times on the extractor to see if I can knock it back to zero, the laser will not power on, even with newer batteries. TLDR: not headspaced for AR15 BCA BCG. Laser is inaccurate and wildly unreliable.

Awful, not accurate at all spinning the laser inside the chamber changes the laser position inaccurate at all, gets stuck in the chamber extractor won't latch onto the rim, not a tight fit this is a waste of money, took almost 2 weeks to arrive

Unfortunately the one I got was too wide to fit fully into the chamber which prevented the action from fully seating. The laser dot was in a different spot every time I took it out and reloaded it to the best it would fit.

Still works but sloppy fit in chamber
