Sturdy - Safe - perfect size - extremely easy to install.
Very pleased! We've needed a grab rail for several years. We didn't want one that was too big and get in the way of the walk area or one that looked gross or out of place. Then it was researching what type of installation. We didn't want to drill monster holes in the deck to install. We weren't sure about this "easy install" rail and how sturdy it would be but took a chance and ordered it. There really wasn't any reviews to read - only one that said nothing but gave it five stars. It has four bolts with Molly screws and washers. No instructions but none really needed. We took the grab rail and lined it up to the left of the pool steps till we decided the best placement. Then took a pencil and mark the four holes on the deck with the grab rail still in place - then put the rail to the side. My husband borrowed a hammer drill and drilled the four holes using a 5/16 drill bit - we vacuumed out the concrete dust from the holes - tapped the mollies into the holes -positioned the rail over the holes and screwed in the bolts. When all four screws were in place we tightened them down. Done! Took about 10 minutes. We tested it for any wiggle - pulled with our weight from inside the pool - hanging on it - tugging on it - just to make sure. It's sturdy and safe! It's made extremely well - the welds are flawless on the base and it was exactly what we needed. Had we known it was going to be such a simple thing we would've put this in a few years ago. We pondered the idea for several years not wanting to tackle a big job around the pool. This was as easy as handing a picture frame. The size and look of this rail in unobtrusive. After installing we had and after thought about the neoprene rail cover. This rail is thick stainless steel and here in Las Vegas, NV., it gets really hot! So we ordered the four foot rail cover from Rail Grip here on the Amazon site - which came two days later. It fit perfect on this grab rail like they where made to go together. I highly recommend ordering the two together. We feel so much better having a sturdy, safe grab rail with a rail cover so no one gets burned. It's perfect!

Great pool railing
My handyman installed this nice looking rail for a mere $50. It didn't take long to install. He used stronger bolts than the ones that come with it. He's a retired home builder so he knows. Been on 2 summers and no problems with people over 200 lbs pulling on it. Sturdy and looks nice. Purchased the cover but have not needed to use it yet. Looks very nice. (my pool co. wanted $1200 to sell me one and install so this is a great savings)

This is the one!
Finally, a strong, affordable pool handrail that anyone can install! Installation was super easy... drill 4 holes, drop in the anchors, put handrail in position and screw in the bolts. The result is a very sturdy install. Don't drill the holes too deep or too wide... just big enough to slide in the anchors. The handrail comes with 4 bolts, 4 metal anchors and a ceramic drill bit. I was not able to use the bit in a conventional drill because the base of the bit is much too fat. But I'm guessing that using a conventional drill would fail even if you used the included masonry bit. No modern hammer drill will accommodate a bit with such a fat base because all modern hammer drills require SDS bits. So you may have to invest in a 1/2" SDS bit for your hammer drill (and they're pricey). I couldn't be more pleased with this product!

Careful on Installation
Nice quality and great price. Looks good at my pool. Very study when installed and we have received many compliments on how nice it is to have it there. Makes getting into the pool easy and safe. The only think I would improve would be to include a small pilot drill bit in the package so that a pilot hole could be drilled into the concrete that would allow a good purchase for the included 1/2 inch drill bit to bite into. When I tried to use just the 1/2 bit, it bounced around on me and that led me to damage the concrete and have a hole that was not centered. For my remaining three holes. I used a smaller concrete bit and drilled the pilot holes first and then the 1/2 holes were drilled on top of those and I ended up with a nice clean and centered hole for the lead anchors to insert into.

Looks like it was meant for our pool
That first step down was getting a little rough for me (knees are aging rapidly) and I found this railing. Loved the fact that it's all above water. We borrowed a hammer drill and bit from a friend - the included bit didn't fit. A template for the four holes would be a HUGE help. As it was, I held the fairly top-heavy rail on the uneven pool deck surface as my husband marked the holes. Also - do as the instructions suggest, and blow the dust away. He didn't, and mistook a pit in the decking for a mark. A mark that was 1/2" off. That meant drilling a new hole immediately adjacent and filling the first one with a stick and some caulk. Maybe use a colored pen or pencil to mark the holes? Anyway, it's in and we love it. I've tried repeatedly to upload a photo, with no success. Will try again. Pros: looks great, solid, relatively uncomplicated to install. Cons: A template would be nice. Get a good graphic artist to clean up and better organize the instructions, and there would be room on the same page.

Very sturdy. Looks Great!!
Very well made. Sturdy and looks good. I use a 1/4 bit, and a punch, made a pilot hole, and then used the 1/2 inch bit provided, and that worked great. You will need to vacuum out the holes after drilling, before putting anchors in. I would recommend. For the price am very happy!!

Upgraded installation pieces
Received and installed today. Rented a hammer drill with a drill bit, even though a 1/2” masonry bit was included with the rail. The rental place wouldn’t allow the bit that came with the rail to be used. An earlier review talked about plastic expansion pieces - they are now metal and work great.

Great product and customer service!
The product is very sturdy and equals the description. The packaging was missing the installing materials. I called the company Monday morning and can't say enough about the great customer service.

The railing was a great compact product for our in-ground pool steps! The install was simple with the supplied stainless lag bolts and concrete anchors.. All I had to do was drill four 3/8” holes in the deck concrete for the concrete anchors. This is a very sturdy railing and it is reasonably priced. I would buy it again.
