Great - strong cord and fits everything I've tried thus far (Snowblowers, weed whackers, and lawnmowers). I like the color and the spool.

It works well and is nice quality, but you're most likely better off with 4 1/2 or even size 4 pull cord. It's just a bit thicker than the factory cord and it will run out of space to fit an extra turn in the recoil spool. I had to drill out the hole to thread this through. Doesn't seem like that lil extra bit will make a difference, but it does. Had to trim off one loop of cord to get the handle to pull into the socket tightly.

This rope was a perfect thickness for my Ariens snowblower. It is high quality. It was easy to cut. Ends were easy to seal using a torch. It has a black and blue outer sheath covering a white core. I now have plenty for future use.

I am a disabled vet who's still a certified master tech (with additional certifications and dozens of schools on top of multiple degrees in the field) who enjoys this kind of work despite my body failing me. I've been doing a lot of small engine service/repair for years at night as this is extra money that allows me to buy items I want but don't need LOL. This rope is stronger, more abrasion resistant and much more durable than much of what else is available on this front. Not much is as annoying as having the rope snap on your lawn mower, snowblower, chainsaw etc when you need it most and the vast majority of people wouldn't know where to begin to repair this issue. I was very upset as I bought several spools of pull-start rope from a local supplier and that rope turned out to be essentially worthless as it was not at all durable and rarely lasted through 100 starts. Since discovering this I literally threw away all of the other rope I had for pull started engines and have 6 different diameter spools of this hanging on my garage wall, readily available and visible so I don't waste time looking for what I need. I've been using this rope for almost a decade (if not longer) now and despite using this on several hundred engines, I've only had a half dozen or so ever need this rope replaced and all of those are used in a commercial setting, meaning they likely see dozens of starts per day. This rope alone has sent far more customers than I can ever possibly accept with my limited physical abilities today so if you service/repair small engines for a living, I HIGHLY recommend this rope! Best pull start rope I've ever used, by miles in some instances!

Great Quality, Great Buy

I have several gas powered tools that require pull ropes to start. Most of them have broken their factory ropes and needed to be repaired at least once. Because of this I decided to buy a big roll of pull start rope. It's much more expensive to buy it from a local store or dealer. This was a good deal and seems to be very durable. I've only installed it on one of my chainsaws so far and I've pulled on it about 50 times in a row. Still holding up. It is definitely more robust than what I paid $20 for from the dealer. I'll edit this review if things change down the road, but for now I would recommend it, it's cheap.

Replaced the starter rope on my Husquarna ST230P snow machine with this. Perfect size and smooth operation.

No complaints here. Delivery was fast and received exactly what I ordered. The quality of the rope is noticeably better than the other ones on the market. I replaced my snowblower pull cord with ease and works perfectly. I just wish they sold shorter lengths of rope.

I’m a small engine mechanic and this is great quality 5/32” starter rope! Mine spool came broken & the cord moldy, likely due to winter weather then thawing out? It was very very stinky, even my wife couldn’t go into the garage for a week it was so bad! Not blaming the company for that though, as it was likely a shipping/storage problem and Amazon is exchanging it for me. That being said, it’s the correct size (5/32”) for all residential & commercial snow blowers, and any of the larger small engines. It’s one size too thick for push mowers however, so purchase the next size smaller 1/8” size starter rope for all the 8HP and smaller engines if you want to match OEM sizes. You’ll have an easier time feeding it through the holes and fitting enough turns on the starter spool. Because this is quality strength rope, 1/8” will work for the larger engines too, or just use this 5/32” if you need to repair mainly snowblowers & larger engines than mowers as it’ll work for both. For me, I’ll be going with 1/8” for everything under 18HP from now on. :)

How many times have I tried to fix a starter cable with a sub-par rope, even paracord 550 dies quick. This cable is meant for the job and works great. Don't waste time with cables you're going to have to replace again and again - buy this and you'll be happy.

Pull cord is good quality but coil was broken in shipping. Reason for 4 stars.
