I've been using these great fine point purple pens for years, and I'm glad they were available on Amazon.com. They write very smoothly and I'm alway shocked when the ink runs out because the ink runs evenly until they are empty (even though they seem to last a long time. The fine line never smears, the purple color is clear and dark, but colored enough to tell the difference from black ink, which is important in the job I do. Best of all, purple is my favorite color. The only thing I'd like to see improved about these pens is that I'd love to buy just the ink refills for them. The outer barrel is alway in great condition, and I hate to throw them away. However, I've never found just the ink refills for them. I use these pens both in my personal life and at my accounting & auditing job. I hope to be able to use them for many years to come.

The precise V5 Pilot series of pens in my humble opinion one of the best writing pens ever produced.. I really like the black and purple pens. The black pen is so smooth and the line it produces is very clean... I'm a old scientist and keep extensive notebooks, filled with equations, drawings and stuff. Over the years this pen has replaced all others. The purple pen is almost as smooth as the black one, and provides a very nice contrasting color. I use almost exclusively Cambrige beige papered notebooks and the ink does not bleed through the paper so both sides of the sheet can be used. The ink refill is of a large diameter and when I run one dry it is a moment to reflect on all the work we have done together. I used to use fountain pens to get a smooth ride on the paper from sterling silver barreled parkers to Water..? forget the name... For a general carry around signing checks and such the v7 provides a broader line... Try a batch, if you write a lot I think, hope you will be pleased...

I buy these pens by the box in black, red, green, blue, and purple. Won’t use any other pen. While I mostly use black ink, purple is me 2nd favorite. Green my 3rd. So dark and legible yet thin (the V5, not the V7). Doesn’t bleed thru paper either.

I am a pen-geek, I will admit that. These pens are perfect for my needs in every way. I purchased them in purple, as it is my favorite color. The color is vivid and not too light. I have also purchased them in black for my "professional" writing needs. Writing can easily be seen on a variety of different background colors. The ink dries quickly, and it does not smudge or smear once dry. The ink lasts forever, I swear. I do, however, have a tendency of losing pens well before they run out of ink, or even close to it. The 12-pack is a great value for the cost. I would highly recommend these pens.

I was vey pleased with the pens. They were exactly what I wanted.

The only thing that would make this a better pen would be if the manufacturer would sell refills in all the colors they make. Then I could have bought a box of refills instead of a box of pens.

My favourite pens. Very fine point that will bend if you drop it onto a hard floor, so retract it when not in use.
