I had to buy this set even though most of the pieces are duplicates for me because I need the spaghetti bowl and this is the only way to get it! I wish I had bought this set FIRST and filled in the gaps with other sets later. Oh well. We waited until it was a good price ($75). I started my learning resources food obsession with casually buying a set here and there. "Munch It!" is a wonderful starters set at an excellent price. The more sets I got, the more I realized that if $100 seems daunting. Here is what it comes down to: the learning resources New Sprouts pretend food product is the best fit for our family. We've collected MANY food sets from ALL brands (Melissa and Doug, Walmart, Fisher Price, you name it!) and what I love about learning resources New Sprouts play food is the size and durability! The size is just right for little hands and the colors are so pretty and appetizing. As for durability, we are still growing our family, so I appreciate that all the pieces are large enough to not be choking hazards. I don't have to sort through our play food and hide certain pieces of food for a few years just because we have a baby at that certain "everything-goes-in-the-mouth" phase. And when that phase doesn't end, I feel peace of mind knowing that the learning resources banana my toddler just chewed absent mindedly for 20 minutes straight is still going to look 100% pristine. (Not so if she chews on a wooden Melissa and Doug piece for even two minutes.) Plus, if a kid gets angry and throws a food piece at me... Boing! It just bounces off (with the exception of a few hard plastic pieces like the pretzel, ice cream sandwich, and a very few others.) Do yourself a favor, purchase this set first! I would have happily paid $100 if this was the first set I was buying. The only reason I was unwilling to pay that price and waited for a lower price is because I wasn't smart with how I planned out my purchases and most of the pieces are duplicates for me now! But if it is your first set, well worth it! You won't regret it and you'll probably be back on Amazon in a few months looking for more fun Learning Resources New Sprouts food sets!

This is a pricey purchase but it’s worth it. The amount of food you get and the quality of the pieces themselves makes this a great set. We use this in my toddlers play kitchen and it’s kept them entertained on and off for months. We color sort with them, make “meals”, play grocery store, etc. There are a lot of ways to play with these. The only thing is that some of the pieces (like the ice cream sandwiches) have some weight to them so if you have a toddler who throws then keep that in mind.

I researched many play food set reviews. I wasn't totally sold on any brand and set because of some of the negative reviews. They all said the food was made of cheap plastic, and cracked when stepped on. I came across learning resources brand and was impressed by the reviews. I was not thrilled about the price though. Luckily that day I went to Costco and found a learning resource new sprouts set for $20. I went home and pulled it out the box. I was immediately excited about it. The quality is amazing. The pieces are quality plastic and wont crack if stepped on. I then put it out with my toddlers play kitchen. I love this brand so much that I decided to buy this additional set. I am so glad I did. Things I love about this set and new sprouts line: -perfect for small toddler hands and even preschoolers hands. -recognizable foods -scale to play kitchens. The food fits into the play kitchens pots and pans. It also fits on the dishes. -great variety from all food groups. I would totally recommend this set and other new sprouts sets. I have the breakfast, lunch and dinner set from Costco. I also have the munch it set. I plan on getting other sets too.

Okay, I have this weird thing where if I buy something it better be worth my money. ESPECIALLY with children’s toys. I hate buying the cheap flimsy fake food so as always, I went for a play-food search on amazon. BEST. DECISION. EVER. This food is thick and almost has a rubbery texture to it. It all came in the bin, nothing was missing. The best part is that the food looks like ACTUAL food. The carrots are orange and green not all orange etc. I just love the learning resources products I even bought the 3 pack and a bunch of others to expand the variety of food available to my niece and nephews. So! If you’re looking for something that’ll last FOREVER and be durable at the same time, this is your best bet.

I decided to invest in better quality food toys for my toddler because he loves cooking! The food is very realistic but I am very disappointed on the size. The pictures make the food look a lot bigger. I love the look and texture of the food but the size could be bigger. The price is a bit outrageous and wish they wouldn’t have put so many pieces of bread and put other food in the box to make it worth the money. I’d say maybe 60-80 would be more of a reasonable price for this box. So far they are my second favorite brand outside of the Melissa and Doug food toys. I only put 4 starts because of size and the amount of slices of bread.

We have gotten rid of all the play food that is NOT the Learning Resource brand. The food is very realistic, durable, and high quality. This set has a huge mix of types of food and my kiddos love it!

Everything looked fine. The items were sturdy and durable; however, there was a strong chemical smell on them that may make some not want to buy. If this may be bothersome, be prepared to air out for some time. Overall, I still think it's worth the buy, especially if you will be using them like I do to teach about healthy and unhealthy eating.

Bought these when my 7year old was around 2 and now his 2year old sister plays with them. Yes they're a bit pricey but they've lasted over 5 years and seem like they might last forever 😅 They look and feel very high quality, extremely happy with this purchase.

So, das ist jetzt die erste Rezession meines Lebens :-) Ich habe lange nach einer Spielküche und dem dazu passenden Zubehör gesucht, was sich als schwierig herausstellte. Da wir gerne Kunststoff wollten (die Küche soll später evtl mal im Außenbereich genutzt werden) war es echt mühsam etwas zu finden, was meinen Qualitätsansprüchen genügt und eben den Kindern ausreichend Spielwert bietet. Ich habe sehr lange überlegt, ob es nicht verrückt ist, 100€ für dieses Set auszugeben. Nach langem Hin und Her haben mein Mann und ich beschlossen, es zu bestellen, um uns selbst ein Bild davon zu machen. Das Päckchen kam, wurde gleich geöffnet und bereits von der Box waren wir begeistert. Farblich ist sie zwar Nicht so wie abgebildet (wir haben eine milchige Box bekommen, bei der lediglich der Griff und die Verschlüsse blau waren) das störte mich aber überhaupt nicht. Toll zur Aufbewahrung und sieht sehr Wertigkeit aus. Genauso wie der Inhalt! Unglaublich realistische Lebensmittel mit strahlenden Farben. Die Proportionen sind zwar nicht passend, das hat aber, denke ich zumindest, den Grund, dass die Sachen alle in einen Topf passen können. Die Kinder sollen ja damit kochen. Da kommt schon wieder der Erwachsene in einem durch :-) Kurzum: Ich kann eine absolute Kaufempfehlung geben!
