I am quite happy with my nice new Proxxon Rotary tool. It seems to be all it was supposed to be and works great. I got several of the optional things like the pencil head with flexible shaft and the large power supply and also the extension power cord. Now I have a very nice setup to do small project detailing. It works as expected and so far no issues detract from it's usefulness.

I have had the older Proxxon FBS (E) for over 20 years and it has performed a huge range of functions from modelling to cutting out grout and trimming PVC drain pipes. When the motor brushes finally gave up the ghost I bought this FBS 12 E/F. What a great tool! It has better speed control than the older tool and is quieter (and certainly much quieter than any Dremel I have used). Yes, you need a Proxxon transformer to take that slightly annoying Proxxon 3-pin plug but I reused my original which is still going strong. The balance and grip on this tool is certainly improved as well and though a heavy tool the control is very good. You would probably want to consider a flexi shaft for fine work but then that is true of any hand tool like this and no criticism of Proxxon. I have read the less positive reviews of this tool and all I can say is that you need to do your homework when buying any tool like this. Sure, it doesn't have the power of a larger tool but why would you expect it to. It may not be as fast or powerful as some but then it doesn't run directly on mains power and it isn't so loud it is going to make your ears bleed. Overall a cracking bit of kit and should see me through the next 20 years.

Proxxon de lo mejor que he manejado, acostumbrado a manejar dremel cuando empece con proxxon deje de usarlo, sinto mas potencia y mas estabilidad.

Boa construção e resistente, sem vibração. O interrutor é algo fácil de ligar sem querer. Mas estou bem satisfeito.

These tools are nice and quiet. Used Proxxon before but it had an actual 110V plug on the end. This version came with an unexpected proprietary plug requiring connection to a 110V adapter that costs more than the tool itself. Would have bought the plug version but could not determine it was missing from the picture used to advertise the product.
