General Tools 660 iPhone Repair Kit for Smart Phones, Tablets & Other Electronic Devices, 17 piece set

Tool set is great. I bought it to open up my macbook to install some new RAM. I haven't used the suction cup to open up an iPhone yet but I intend to eventually. I believe that was the most common issue when I was originally reading reviews. Quality product for what I used it for and the storage case keeps everything organized nicely.

I bought this since I wanted something to open my Nintendo Switch, and this succeeded with flying colors. It's super hard to find a kit that has the right size Y bit, and doesn't have 40 other bits you don't necessarily need. Or to be more fair, in my case I have a couple dozen of and just needed the Y00 bit. The Spudger is the only other tool in this kit that doesn't look terrible. Everything else looks like it was just placed in there to fill the kit out. Sorry. Though the main star of the show looks and feels very well made, the bit-holder. Also the price was right.

I needed to remove a battery from a macbook, and didn't have the 3 point tool. Purchased this specifically for that one adapter, and it worked perfectly to remove the battery. If you don't currently have a small tool kit for laptop and smartphone repair, this is a perfect kit.

Overall the set worked for what I needed.However, the suction cup provided is a joke. It is completely ineffective for the intended purpose of pulling the screen from the body of a phone.The spudger was OK but is limited to just the two ends. So, while effective at its task it wont do anything else.The tweezers with the attached magnifying glass was a pleasant surprise as it proved to be useful.The SIM tool is pointless as any paperclip can to the same thing.The driver portion of the set feels good in your hand and of high quality. One of the bits was VERY tight in the socket so I had to use a pliers to remove it.The bits themselves seemed like decent quality and did the job. However, the bits were not in the positions labeled on the holder. So make sure you have the right bit before you start using it on something delicate. And as I mentioned the one bit was over-sized which required a pliers to remove from the driver.Overall it got the job done for me however, the only real useful tools were the bits and driver and the spudger. Otherwise you could toss the rest.Good thing its priced to match.

I hava a neighbor who got her iPhone 6 a little wet. Not completely submerged but wet enough so it would not turn on. I purchased these tools to enable me to take the phone apart; it worked. The right tool for the right job. BTW, I took the phone apart, wiped off all of the connectors, reassembled it, and it works again. Money well spent.

The product arrived in a decent time frame. I was very impressed with the quality of the tools included and every piece came in handy. The reason why I got this too was to be able to work on more than just my iphone though, and that's where this tool loses a star. There are a large variety of tips that come included, but this doesn't give you any length on the tip. I tried to use it to open up some controllers and the tool didn't reach. I've tried it on a few other things and the tips held up very well and this was well worth it if you're dealing with phones and glasses, but if you want to use this on things that require more narrow spaces don't buy this. All in all I like this tool a lot and will definitely keep it around.

Nothing particularly special about it, but it gets the work done and the case is nice and easy to store.

Suction cup is too small to open the cover of the iphone and it was broken after I tried several times. It was very disappointing.
