Quietest practice pad
This is by far the quietest practice pad I have ever used. Decibel levels are in the 40s to low 50s as measured from about 2 feet away. Excellent rebound and feel, and it tunes just like an acoustic drum. it is very light, and portable, however it does have 4 rubber feet that might snag on a carry bag. The head is mesh, so you need to be careful with it. It does not have a threaded fitting on the back for a photo tripod as many pads do. If you want to put it on a stand, you will have to use a standard drum stand like a snare basket. I am going to try to attach an electronic trigger to it to make it an Edrum, but I haven't yet.

I’ve tried many and I love this pad!
I’ve been playing drums for 25 years and I was skeptical about purchasing this after some negative reviews, but I’m really glad I bought it. This thing feels great. It just has a satisfying thud to it. I don’t know how else to describe it. It is true that this pad has more rebound than a regular snare. A lot of people complain about this, but I just don’t see it as a problem. It’s really not that big of a deal and I don’t think it’s overly bouncy. If you want less rebound, I’d say go for the Evans RealFeel pad. I love that pad as well and it will make you work a little harder. The design of this pad is a little odd though. They put lock nuts on the tension rods, so you will need a 10MM wrench or socket along with a drum key. Not a huge deal, but it’s worth mentioning. I have no idea why they didn’t just use threaded inserts, but it is what it is. The metal brackets underneath also make noise when you hit the pad which is annoying. It’s metal on metal, so they vibrate. I just bought some rubber fender washers and cut them up to make little spacers. I super glued them on and now the pad is great. No rattling whatsoever. Hope this helps!

Will complement the sound of my Remo practice pad.
Will complement the sound of my Remo practice pad - each is on its own snare stand. Looks like I could change out hear if I wanted a different practice surface/sound. Nice product.

If you want quiet, here it is.
This thing is seriously quiet. I actually put a bit of duct tape on it so it would be louder. It is slightly soft. I have a Remo practice pad that has a more lively feel, but it is quite loud. This is good though. If you want quiet, here it is. I also put padding around the rim, because when the head is that quiet, a rim strike sounds like a hammer. I'd buy another one in a minute if something happened to this one.

Great Practice Pad
This practice pad is exactly what I wanted. Its quiet and fits on a snare drum stand or can be placed on top of a snare drum head.

Great Feel!
This pad has a great feel and is sensitive and super easy to play. It is fun to play and very quiet. The downsides: I discovered that the cross plates underneath were bowed. Not sure why. This makes it a bit wobbly on a flat surface. Also, it is very responsive but is easier to play and makes you sound better than a real snare. I would like to attach a trigger to it and use it live as a real drum.

Loved this quiet practice pad I bought a while ago. It looks good and has the perfect size. The quality is great. After moving, I don't know where it ended up. I think I lost it and I consider to get a new one.
